What is the value of a 16 gauge Sears and Roebuck 102.25 shotgun?
I don't really know, but I recently bought the 102.25 16 ga in excellent condition from a private gun show seller for $200. I have an eye for old, rare, and know what works, and this one is an awesome example of all! It has an 18.25in barrel, light wear on the magazine, and near perfect wood. I heard from another site that these guns (#102.25 12 and 16 ga) are valued anywhere from $380 to $500 depending on condition, as they are considered Pre WWII rarities. E-

Depending on the year of manufacture the range is qite large. The value is also signigicantly influenced by the firearms overall condition. I would guess between $300 and perhaps $800. Ofcourse if you can find someone with an emotional attatchment to the specific piece then the worth goes up significantly. Don't get much respect as collectables. A good shooter could bring $100.

Where can you get sights for a 12 gauge Savage Stevens Model 67 pump shotgun?
Incorrect. Some shotguns do just have a bead at the muzzle's end ... but, shotguns do indeed have aiming sights available. Typically, a shotgun designed to shoot rifled slugs will have conventional, adjustable iron sights with the rear sight mounted in the area above the trigger & and a blade sight ... sometimes with a colored line on the front sight. A typical name for shotgun sights is called Ghost Ring Sights. It came standard on my Mossberg 500 12 Ha. Shotgun.

What ammunition can be used safely in a 1964 12 gauge Browning superposed for waterfowl hunting?
It would probaly not be safe to shoot steel shot or any of the tungsten shot out of a gun that old because it is probaly choked too tight and the older barrels are not designed to handle the harder shot. Lead shot would be fine but as you know you can't legally use that for waterfowl.
Would need more information, serial no. type of gun - (hammer or hammerless). Larry shelton, (Clabrough collector) lsheltonsxs@sbcglobal.net
If it was manufactured with short barrels, it could be in excellent condition, but not if the barrels have been sawn off. Excellent condition means 98% original finish remaining and all original parts. You need to measure the barrels and overall length of the gun. If the barrels are any less than 18 inches OR the overall gun is less than 26 inches, you are looking at 10 years in a federal prison and a fine up to a quarter million dollars for possession of an unregistered Class III firearm. If it is of legal length, it might bring $100-$150.
