I have one that was given to me when I was born. My birth was in July of 1952. The man who gave me the gun was a friend of my fathers. He bought the the gun at Wards in early 1952. I would like to know who the Manufacturer was.All my research indicates that the entire SB series of guns were made by Savage/stevens for the Montgomery wards Company.This will range from the SB033-SB712.I would say that you have a stevens model 530A side by side shotgun,These were made in 12,16,20 or 410 gauge.these had 2 3/4in chambers,boxlock action simular to the model 311 SxS.28inch barrels with a full and modified choked barrels.The model 530 was made from 1936-1942.There were 8,000 made during this time span.

model 94B Stevens plastic stock was mfg in 1950. Stevens uded letter code starting with A in 1949 until P in 1969.

I just bought one at a gun show in fair condition for $70.

Without more information I can only give you a broad price range of 300-700. Condition, gauge, barrel length, choke, all impact value.

That is the date a patent covering some feature of the gun was issued, not the date it was manufactured. This date may be found on several shotguns made by J Stevens Arms and Tool Company and its later operations as J Stevens Arms, Stevens/Savage, and Savage, so about all we can say about its age is that it was made sometime between 1900 and 1991. Almost any Stevens single shot made after 1900 is worth between $25 rusted or busted and $100 like new.

you are mistaken Winchester model 88 is a lever action side eject rifle value is 300.00 to 450.00 depending on cond.

I don't know the value but my grandfather was born in 1888 & left one for my dad. He said his best friend gave it to him when his son shot himselft with it. I'm guessing early 1900's. The value in mine is purely sentimental.

I recently saw one in a Florida pawn & gun shop...stock only fair, and front piece does not match. Mechanically Ok, 20" barrel. He was asking 100 bucks do to the mismatch wood. Hope this helps

look on the Side of the recevier there should be a Serial Number on the older Ithaca Model 37 the serial Number was stamped on the receiver by the magazine tune and Barrel . also if you take the barrel off on the bottom of the barrel you'll find the matching serial Number. then look up WWW.SURPLUSRIFLEFORUM.COM in their search engine type in ITHACA 37 DOM match your shotguns Serial number up with their chart .

LAKESIDE was a known trademark of the Montgomery Ward Co and used on guns produced for them by HD Folsom/Crescent Firearms from 1895-1930. Value will be up to $250.

Two different shotguns were marked with the Paragon name. One is a utilitarian Stevens double barrel worth a couple hundred dollars at the most. The other was a custom-order high grade gun made by the Baker Gun & Forging Co which could be worth a couple thousand. List the other markings on the gun and we should be able to tell you which you have.

According to other internet sources, the J Stevens company made the Model 82 from 1935 to 1939 only. My sample is amazingly accurate with Eley Match .22 long rifle ammunition. It only weighs 4-1/2 lbs and just feels right in the hands. - CW

Shotgun ammunition is measured by gauge (or bore in England), not caliber. In addition to the gauge, you will need to know the correct shell length and an old damascus barreled gun probably uses 2 1/2 inch shells which are no longer available. To determine the correct ammunition, you will have to have the chambers measured by a gunsmith. He probably won't even charge you for this simple service. Most likely, an old American Arms shotgun will be a 12 gauge. If a dime fits the muzzle, it's a 12 gauge modified choke, if it fits loosely, it's 12 gauge open choke, and if it will almost go in, it's 12 gauge full choke. You'll probably find that one barrel is full and the other modified. Even if you determine the correct ammunition for this gun, don't shoot it. Although damascus barrels were excellent for the proper ammunition when new they are subject to deterioration over time (and your gun is probably nearly if not over 100 years old) if they have not had proper care for their entire lifetime.
