Nowhere. This was a trade name used by Henri Pieper in Belgium. If it is spelled with only one "e", it could have been made by Simonis, Janssen, Doumoulin & Co, also in Belgium, or by Crescent Firearms in Connecticut.

Sounds like the bolt is not traveling quite far enough to the rear. Try cleaning the gas system.

From what I have been told you can, but the choke cannot be more than modified. Also best to check with a gunsmith depending on the age and condition of the barrel.

Sounds like this is a "New Ithaca Double". Depending on condition, I see these selling for $350-$500 on Gunbroker.com.

made 1947 to 1951 very neat gun some what hard to find in good shape the tenite stocks are often broken orcracked if you have one in good shape .with original tenite stocks (plastic it would be worth about 150 bucks. There is a long list of shotguns that are marked Royal, but I cannot find the United Arms part of your marking in my lists. All that I do find are attributed to Anciens Etablissments Pieper in Leige, Belgium, so I would bet on that being the source of yours, too. Since this version of the company name was first used in 1905 and the export of civilian firearms from Belgium ended when the Germans invaded in 1914, that would make your gun right around 100 years old.

The Springfield name was used starting about 1915 until the late 1940's. From 1916 to 1920, the plant was used to manufacture Mosin-Nagant rifles for the Russian military and no Stevens firearms were produced. I'm not sure of the value of your shotgun. I have a Montgomery Wards Hercules, double barrel shotgun, with external hammers. With all the research I have done it is a Stevens 217. I have been looking for a set of barrels for this gun. Can you describe your gun to me. Petter

I don't own one. But, if it's in good working condition, and you have a use for a .410 shotgun, it's certainly worth keeping around. If it's in bad condition, or doesn't work properly, then it's not. It's up to you.
