Where can you find a clip for a Gamester 349 16 gauge shotgun?
I have no idea, but I also have a 16 gauge bolt action shotgun that needs a clip so if you find a place to look please let me know. The H&R Gamester boltaction shotgun never used a clip. It is a tubular fed 3-shot shotgun made in 12 and 16 gauges. I have one (model 348) which is the same as the model 349 Gamester minus the adjustable choke. Numrich Arms has most parts for this shotgun. You can purchase the magazine parts you need to make it a repeater.
Can you buy a rifled barrel for a youth model 20 ga from New England Firearms?
I don't know, but why don't you ask the company? H&R 1871/New ENgland Firearms
Yes. At their website it tells you what to do.
What years were the model 330 shotgun over and under made by Valmet for Savage?
The 330 was manufactured by Vlamet between 1969 and 1980.
Can the barrels of the Stevens 311 be modified to install choke tubes?
Well, I can only speak for mine. My barells were cut to 18 1/4" and Colonial screw in choke tubes installed. Works like a charm.
St Etienne is a city in France where many firearms manufacturers have been located for about as long as guns have been made. Cannoniere means "gunner". Sanner appears to be a family surname, so, the gun was made by (or for) Mr Sanner in St Etienne. If you can describe the gun more completely (muzzle loading, or if breech loading, pinfire or center fire? Back hammers, side hammers, or hammerless? Side lock, back lock, box lock? Damascus, twist, or fluid steel barrels?) we may be able to guess a bit closer to the guns age. Also, if the barrels can be removed, look below them and on the bottom of them for proof marks and tell us EVERYTHING that is written or marked on the gun. And if you want an estimate of the value, you will need to give us a good idea of it's condition - is it closer to a rusted hunk or to a factory new gun?
Who manufactured a single shot shotgun 16 gauge with Excel stamped on it?
Excel was a trade name used by HD Folsom Arms and Iver Johnson Arms and Cycle Works on shotguns made for Montgomery Wards.

Is King Nitro the store name for a Stevens or Savage model of double-barrel shotgun?
As I saw in other faq`s answered about King Nitro shotguns, they were made by Sears,Roebuck co. We need to find those other answers and correct them. Sears Roebuck never made any guns unless you count those manufactured by their subsidiary company, Meriden Arms from 1905 to 1915. Nitro King was a Sears brand but King Nitro was a trade name distributed by Shapleigh Hardware of St Louis. The guns were made by W.H. Davenport, Iver Johnson, J. Stevens (model 315 double barrel), and unidentified Belgian manufacturers.
Central Arms Company was a trade name used by the W.H. Davenport Firearms Company on shotguns made for the Shapleigh Hardware Company of St. Louis. MO.

What is the value of a 1905 diamond arm shotgun?
Diamond Arms was one of the many house brand names used by Crescent Arms, which went out of business in 1932. Manufacture records have been lost, and dating is impossible. The 1905 date is the patent date, not the year of manufacture. These guns have never inspired collector interest, and have value only as shooters. In excellent condition, it may be worth up to $200.
The converted shotguns go for about $200 on the internet. Most of them are unsafe to shoot with today's higher powered ammo. You can find them for sale at either www.gunbroker.com or www.auctionarms.com.
What is the age and value of a Stevens model 258A 20 gauge bolt action 2 shot clip shotgun?
Hi, sorry no answer to the value, but i was also looking for value, my dad has one that he got when he was around 16, somewhere around 1959. Just thought i would add that in so u know around wut era they were sold, i will be looking for value, if i find it then i will report bakk here. Thanx, Mike. Hello, the value of that shotgun is $100 in excellent condition. The gun was first introduced in 1937 and discontinued in 1965. In very good condition it is worth $75. I hope this helped
I have one and it is about 70 years old.
What is the value of a 12 gauge JC Higgins Model 583.13 bolt action shotgun?
The JC HIGGINS MODEL 583.13 was made by High Standard as its model 10. They have only shooter value (no collector interest). But be careful. Many of the Sears High Standard bolt action shotguns were recalled for safety considerations in the late 1990's. The Early models of this gun of wich 583 13 is part of was actually made by H&R (Harrington & Richardson ) for High Standard . Sears owned all of High Standards Rifle and shotgun production in thouse days . and had bought the rights to the old H&R gun on wich your gun was based as part of the Deal H&R made all of the early models for Sears /high Standard 583 1 to 583 13 the safety issue involves the bolt stop screw .just make sure that the screw is present and in good condition . This screw holds the bolt in the shotgun when cycleing the action between shot s If it is not present the bolt will come out when you open it and pull the bolt bac THis bolt has absolutely nothing to do with bolt lockup these guns have a very positive lockup and are quite strong sears will give a 50 buck gift certificate for the bolt on these guns However the bolt alone will easily fetch 60 to 100 bucks that what i pay for them However the 12 gauge guns are getting scarce Because of The sears recall and these guns are starting to go up in price 1 make sure that the bolt stop screw is in good shape and keep it it is going to increase in value cotrary to the recall these guns are very safe and very good shotguns it should bring at least 100 bucks or more and certainly worth more than 50 dollars of Sears Funny money remember 50 dollar Sears gift card is about equal to a 100 dollar walmart gift card The Sears recall is as valid as a liberal gun byback
Was Lion Arms Co a trade name of Iver Johnson and if so were they good arms?
Iver Johnson did produce revolvers in the 1880's with the Lion Arms trade name. For the time period, they were budget revolvers not in the same league with Smith & Wesson or Colt, but certainly serviceable. I certainly would not attempt to shoot one today, though, without careful inspection first. sales@countrygunsmith.net A great source of information on Iver Johnson firearms is the book by W.E. Goforth titled, "Iver-Johnson Arms & Cycle Works Firearms 1871-1993".
What is the value of a Stevens Full 12 gauge pump model 14582?
That is not a model number, but is likely the serial number. Unless you have a Model 620 US marked Trench Gun, Stevens pump shotguns have little collectors value.
How do you determine the grade of an Ithaca Hammerless side by side shotgun?
The guage and grade of an Ithaca Hammerless can generally be found on the left front corner of the water table on the frame. The serial number is usually on the right side of the same water table, on the barrel flats, and on the forend iron. To determine which design you have, check http://www.shotgunworld.com/identify.html
This is one of several Stevens' boy's rifles dating from the late 19th and early 20th century, made in Chicopee Falls, Mass. They sold for less than ten dollars each, some for less than five. Remember, that was a week's wages for many! This model has an external hammer and an under lever/trigger guard, which when pulled down, allows the rifle to hinge in the middle, similar to a double barrelled shotgun. Upon opening, the extractor catches the rim of the case and frees it from the chamber so that it can be removed. The open chamber is now ready to reload. Closing the action brings the hammmer to half-cock. The hammer must be manually cocked to fire. These little rifles were made in .22, .25, and .32 rimfire. There were also .410 and .44 shot models on the same type action, though they were called by another name. Dating can be done somewhat by the exact use of the name. If I remember, I think "J. Stevens A & T" was used before and almost up to 1900. "J. Stevens Arms and Tool" was used after the turn of the century. "Stevens Arms" was used after about 1910 until Savage bought them out in 1920. After that Stevens was still used as a brand, but there was also a Savage logo nearby.
The only Crescent shotgun that I know of that was nickeled was the 20 guage, 14 inch barreled Knickerbocker. A shotgun with a barrel length of 18" or less requires a Class C license from the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms. Assuming you are correct and it is a 12 guage, it was originally blued and parts should be available from http://www.gunpartscorp.com.
What is the age of a 16 gauge Ithaca Long Range serial 44623?
That particular gun was made in 1937. The Ithaca Western Long Range was made from 1929 to the start of WW II. I cannot help with the exact date.
Are Stevens or Savage Arms shotguns made in Chicopee Falls Mass?
Yes, they were. Do you have a question about them?..... Perhaps you are having a hard time finding any information on the Savage Arms Corporation Stevens Model 58 Proof Tested 2 3/4" Chamber 12 GA.-B, manufactured in Chicopee Falls, MASS U.S.A. and having no serial #, thus indicating the likelyhood of it's origin falling between the late 1940's and 1969. So was I and apparently we're not alone as is evident by the obviously far educationally superior, original first two comments of this highly intellegent, mature, research intense and resource exhausted response from what must be one of this sites senior tenured members. Poignant and informative, this member surely must be close to the highly honered and revered "Out to FAQFarm Pasture" award. Perhaps we might be graced with a follow-up to this profound beginning with informational links similar to these giving us an idea of the nearly non-exsistant pool of available free information sharing resources on the Savage Stevens Model 58 12 gauge bolt-action shotgun.

Good day, Good luck, Good grief!!!
Chicopee Falls, MassachusettsJ. Stevens Arms Company was established in Chicopee Falls in 1864. The facility was purchased by New England Westinghouse in 1916 and for the next four years no Stevens firearms were manufactured. In 1920 Savage Arms of Utica, New York, purchased the plant and produced Stevens firearms there while continuing to make Savage guns in Utica. About 1946 all of Savage's manufacturing was moved to the Chicopee Falls location, then in September of 1981 the company moved all operations to Westfield, Massachusetts. What is the age and value of a Stevens - Savage Arms model 94 series P 16 gauge SS shotgun?

Was a 22 caliber Western Field Model 87 rifle made by Marlin or Mossberg?
Okay. first I cannot find any reference to a Western Field "87." That doesn't mean there wasn't one, it just means that the records are incomplete. However, there definitely was a model 37 (=Mossberg model 30), an 807 (= Colt Colteer), and an MO87 (= Stevens M87). Good luck with this one, and post the sesults of your search so that we all know the answer.
Answerit is not necessarily "unique" but I've never seen one like mine before. it is a tube magazine .22 autoloader. that is with .22 lr. with the obsolite .22 long and .22 shorts it is a repeater kind of like a bolt action.it can be operated like a bolt action with all three varieties of ammo if one pushed in the bolt handle.it definitely says model 87 on the bbl. there are other letter and number combinations after that with patent nos on the receiver.
maybe this description will help those with knowlege of these guns id it. my late father had this rifle for as long as i can remember. I'm 51 so it's likely older than me. i shot it a lot as a kid, very accurate
Answeri just found a Springfield model 87A on Auction Arms that is a dead ringer for my WW model 87could this be the same rifle with a different name?
AnswerThe first answer has it right. The Western Field model 87 is a Stevens model 87 marked with a Montgomery Ward brand name. Savage/Stevens used the name Springfield from about 1920 to 1948. According to the Blue Book the model 87 series was made from 1938 to 1945.
