Where can you find a stock and trigger guard with screws for a hammerless double barrel shot gun made by the Union Firearms Co. of Toledo Ohio?

You won't find anyone who stocks parts since the company only operated from 1903 to 1913. But since most double barrel buttstocks are pretty similar, you could probably find one at a gun shop or gunshow that could be altered to fit. Same goes for trigger guards, and the screws are probably standard. There are several different ways that the forearm could be attached, so if you need that part of the stock, it may take a while to find one that will fit.

What is the age of a 22 caliber J Stevens Model 56?

If on the barrel it says J. STEVENS ARMS COMPANY MODEL 56 IT WAS MADE BETWEEN 1920 AND 1942. They were an affordable gun during the depression and to this day are highly accurate. Value for this gun in excellant condition could be $200 to poor condition $50. I have one and have used it to teach my girls how to shoot responsibly. It was my grandfathers and someday i will hand it down to my kids like my father did to me. Still as accurate as it was out of the box with the original scope. Hope this helps Rick Cape Cod

What is the value of a Sears and Roebuck Company 1956 Ted Williams .410 shotgun?

Do you have a model number (Sears guns usually have a number like 123.12345)? Condition will also be important, but for a rough idea of the value, go to a Walmart or a sporting goods store and find the least expensive new .410 with the same action type and figure that your used gun is worth 1/2 to 2/3 of that price.

What is a JC Higgins bolt action 16 gauge worth?

j c Higgins bolt action shot guns are excellent guns ,and of good quality their was a recall by Sears but that has been with drawn and baseless the shotguns were made by High standard manufacturing . there are two basic models the model 10 wich was made between 1946 and 1956 and the model 11 from 1957 to 1962 model 10 is 6 shot and the model 11 is 3 shot these shotgun are some of the best bolt action shotguns ever made. How ever bolt action shotgun are old fashion and not very popular today and Sears sold a lot of them so one in good to ner new is only worth abought 100 buck if you know somebody that whants it a gun dealer may offer alot less than that however these are still very good gun and better made than most of the modern stuff you have great old shotgun enjoy it

Recall Would Not ApplyThe recall was for 12ga guns only, and is still in effect. Sears no longer pays $160 per bolt, however; it is down to $65 (I think). 16ga and 20ga guns were never subject to the recall. $125 TopsIt's a good enough gun to use, but bolt action shotguns just aren't in demand. They will bring only a little more than an old single shot. Even if the Sears recall is only $65, that's probably more than a dealer or pawnshop will give you for a Sears 12 gauge bolt action. actually it was all gauges 583 3 to 583 21 how ever the recall was baseless and Sears is nolonger buying the bolts back no telling how many good old shotguns were ruined buy all that stupidity

What is the history and value of a Springfield Arms Co .22 long rifle model 53A?

apparently from what i have found this rifle was bought new for like 45 bucks. maybe alittle more. and it was made between 1936 and 1948. it might be worth 100 to 125 dollars. this info is from research i did on the internet from other people askin similar questions and there responses. i think the years it was made might have been from the model 53b. they cant be that far apart from each other. the difference is the 53 a firing pin has to be reset manual. the 53 b resets when the bolt is opened. my 53 a does not have a safety and the 53b does. i dont know if im missing parts or not. i dont think that i am. hope this helps

Where can you find information on a Belgium Damascus double barrel shotgun marked W M Loomis?

Joe Vorisek wrote the book on old shotgun markings, and his listing says: WM LOOMIS - name found on Belgian hammer shotgun with damascus barrels, maker unknown. I'm assuming this is a breech loading gun, so it would have been made sometime after 1865 and before 1915. You might search for any reference to a William Loomis who owned a hardware store or general merchandise store in that time period. Many stores paid a couple dollars extra to get a dozen or so guns marked with their own name.

What is the approximate value of a model 12 made in 1927 12 Gauge solid rib straight grip stock in fancy figured walnut forend also hand checkering bluing worn on receiver?

You have an interesting piece. The model 12 is considered the finest pump ever made. The 12 ga. is less desirable then say, the .410, but the solid rib is rare. And, anytime you have upgraded wood and checkering (factory?), it adds considerably to the value. Condition is almost everything in a collectable such as yours--I can't quote you a price. But if you were interested in selling-and-getting the most money for your gun, you should look into selling on-line. Gunbroker.com is a great site for listing, and you should be able to get a fair price for your Winchester.

Where can you find a stock and forearm for your Stevens 311 12 gauge double barrel shotgun?

Try Numrich or Bob's Gun Parts. They are both on the web. Or you can try Boyds, they have new for 12 ga only. http://www.boydsgunstocks.com/ I'm looking for 16 ga, but no luck so far.

How do you find the age and value of a shotgun based on its serial number?

You also need to know the manufacturer and model. Then look in the Blue Book of Gun values to find out if this gun is listed. If not, you may be able to get information directly from the manufacturer if they are still in business.
