Whats is the value of a m550cr pump shot gun 20 guage

i saw one in 90% condition sell for $150.

The odds are good that the right barrel is a modified, and the left a full choke. However, any gunsmith worth his salt well be able to tell you by measuring the internal dimensions of the choke. It's easy to do, takes just a couple of minutes, and most of the smiths I've known would do it for you for no charge. Or, you can pattern the barrels. This involves hanging a large target out at 25 yards, and then counting how many pellets actually hit a circle the size of a paper plate. There are reference books around that will tell you the exact procedure to follow. Anyway, it's fun reading gun books when the weather's too bad to go shooting. It's a useful little gun. Have fun with it.

Unfortunately off-hand I can think of at least 12 different bolt action 22 caliber rifles made by Remington, without a model it's impossible to even give ballparks without writing a book, if you revise this question with a model, also put in CONDITION.

Less than $100, probably a lot less. If This gun is so old - how come its not worth much? *1. Millions of them were made. *2. It not all that old, just a little older than me. *3. They are utility guns, not fine handcrafted collectables. *4. You can buy a new single shot at Walmart for $79.95 - with a warrantee.

I have a 1913 model 16 ga riverside arms shotgun . all it says , is the date made and company so on mine there is no ga. indication .

Value is determined by a number of factors including age, condition, any "special issue", documentation, etc. You might want to check out the NRA Condition Grading Definitions For Antique Firearms. Use the Google form on the right to look these up. To get a reliable estimate of the value of your gun, see a professional appraiser. Of course, ultimately the value of anything is what it is worth to individuals. What is it worth to you? What is it worth to an individual potential buyer. The gun may be worth more to you because it has sentimental value, e.g. it was your grandfather's gun.

The first thing is :Does it "open" with a lever so a shell can be placed in the barrell? If so, It could be from 1915 back to the 1880's. If it does not "open" then it is a muzzeloader and must be loaded from the front of the barrell. These usually start in the 1880's and go back to the 1700's. There are "Reproductions" of old guns that may look old but are not. Any good gunsmith can tell you...............Mossygeramp

I'm trying to locate the same information. I have tried the bluebookinc.com site and am confused why I can't find any information on a Grade S. There is a Sousa model, which if you and I each have one of the eleven made that would be an eye-opener, not keeping my hope up on that one. My number is 140504, Grade S. Good luck, I'll keep looking. Answer: Both of your ser#'s are for Ithaca, Minier model shotguns manufactured in 1907. The Minier was only mfg from 1906-1908. It replaced the Lewis model. When Ithaca intruduced the Flues model in 1908, sales of the Minier fell to such an extent that most of the guns in inventory were marked as 2nd and sold at a reduced profit. The S12 stamp on the frame signifies it as a 12ga. field grade gun.

The Ranger tradename was used by Sears Roebuck. Model 101.2 is the Savage model 238. You can't get an exact date on these, but it was probably sometime between 1945 and 1965. Value would be $100 or so.

What you have is an Ithaca 1915 Flues model. There are wide variations, but it would top out around 600.00 where I have seen in top-notch shape. An Ithaca freak may cough up considerably more than that, I know i have paid way too much for other people's tastes when I wanted one. That is a firearm that depends on the market you have at hand.

The value is $100.00 dollars to $250.00 in prestine condition. Flaws and damage take away from value-scratches and chips-etc.

The Stevens Visible Loader, sometimes called the "Miserable Loader" because of its tendency to malfunction, was made from 1907 well into the 1930s. They are fairly common guns on on-line auction sites and at gunshows. Value depends on condition and exact model. Most were the Model 70 and today bring $100 to $400. Models with fancy sites, pistol-grip stock and other embellishments can carry price tags of up to $600 if in great condition, but they are slow to sell at that price. An "average" price" is $250 to $325.

5E 038, that sounds about right for the Flayderman's no. It's greatly dependent on condition and not given that what he has in there is probably as close of a estimate as your going to get.

I was/am researching info on my own Savage 24V .30-30 over 20 ga, and came across a site that stated the 24V was only manufactured during 1967. I will try to back-track my history/bookmarks to see if I can find the site again. -- Actually, no. -- The 24V guns, in various configurations, were made through about 1989. This gun was made in the late 1970's.

Try PolyChoke/Cutts Compensator. Also, High Standard, Winchester, Savage and Stevens made guns for JC Higgins(Sears). I went on "Yahoo" & typed in "High Standard Shotguns" and there is a wealth of information regarding this. High Standard made shotguns as well as pistols for Sears. What you probably have is a Power Pac made by Pachmayr for Sears. I have one as well. A web site that sells these is www.corsonsbarrels.com/powerpacchokes.htm. They are also sometimes listed by Numrich Gun Parts www.e-gunparts.com/. The word is that you should not fire plastic wads through these, which rules out most modern ammo. The wad could expand in the gap between the end of the barrel and the forcing cone of the choke tube. Not a good thing! Be sure that you get tubes made for the Higgins/Sears Power Pac as they are a different size than Pachmayr ones. Also please check your J.C.Higgins for recalls, some are unsafe to shoot.

"J.C. Higgins" was used by Sears as a brand name from 1946 to 1962. That should gve you a general idea of age. As far as I can tell, the 16 GA was manufactured throughout that time period. As for price, I payed $225, and have seen them from 175 to 250 depending on condition. For a more certain answer, check out the gun bluebook.

Serial numbers on long guns were not required in the US until 1968, so many manufacturers did not assign them to shotguns and small-caliber rifles.
