What is a single barrel 20 gauge shotgun?
I'm not sure what you want to know. A "shotgun" is a long-barreled firearm that fires many small pellets instead of one solid bullet; "20 gauge" is the diameter of the barrel; and "single barrel" simply means it has only one. Do you perhaps want to know what it would be used for? It would be used to hunt small animals and birds or to protect the henhouse from preditors. Or do you want to know what it is worth? There are a few models made by Winchester, Ithaca, or other top-line manufacturers that have a collector value but the majority are utility guns worth from $25 for a broken piece of rust to $150 for one in excellent condition.
Triplet Steel was a mark used by Syracuse Arms and Western Arms Corp was a trade name used by Ithaca about 1928-1945. I can't remember all the history right now, but somewhere Syracuse became a part of Ithaca, so I'd say your shotgun was probably made around 1928-30. It's purpose was most likely for hunting but possibly for trap shooting.
What is the value of a JC Higgins 16 gauge pump shotgun model 20?
The cross-reference list says this is a High Standard 200 marked with the Sears brand name but I can't seem to find a listing for that gun. A pump shotgun should bring $75 in useable condition and up to $175 in excellent condition.
Any American rifle made prior to 1832 would be a flintlock with a clamp on the hammer to hold the piece of flint. There was a Western Arms Company manufacturing percussion revolvers c. 1851, a Western Arms Corporation importing cartridge arms c. 1990 which may still be in operation, and an unknown manufacturer made .22 rifles marked "Killdeer - Western Arms" around 1900. None of these could be called a "buffalo rifle." My best guess at this point is that you have perhaps mis-identified a small-bore utility shotgun marked with a trade name selected by the retailer sometime between about 1890 and 1940. Please feel free to prove me wrong by posting a complete description of your firearm or even better, a link to a photo album with several clear digital pictures of the overall gun and close-ups of the action.
What is the value of a Browning Sweet 16 gage automatic shotgun approximately 40 yrs old?

How old is a savage Stevens model 58 20-gauge bolt action shotgun?
If it has both the Stevens and Savage names it was made sometime after the mid 1940's. If it has no serial number, it was made before 1969.
If it is Hopkins & Allen MFG Co, sometime between 1868 and 1898. Hopkins & Allen ARMS Co would be from 1898 to 1915. A 16 gauge would more likely (but not certainly) have been made after 1900.
$900-$1000
Where can you get parts for Crescent shot guns?
You can get some double barrel parts from GUNPARTS. com
What is the value of a J Stevens Co model 54A 410 proof tested rifle?
I just purchased a model 54A single shot bolt action 410 shotgun at a flea market for $70. Have no knowledge of actual worth. It was a nice looking gun and I've always wanted to add a 410 gauge to my collection. Your question does confuse me because of your reference to a "rifle". These guns sell for $75-$100 retail. sales@countrygunsmith.net
How do you tell when a Remington Model 514 was made?
I think since most were manufactured before the GCA of 1968 they did'nt have S/N so it's hard to say when they were made. After 1968 they are supposed to have a serial number On the left side of the barrel just forward of the receiver you will find two letters stamped into the steel. With that information we can decipher the date of manufacture. sales@countrygunsmith.net
Check e-gunparts.com I checked and they do have the forearm but you have to go to the bottom of the parts list because it is not illistrated. Not sure if its a 1948 or older.

How can you tell what model your 12 gauge shotgun is?
Sure can't tell over the internet without a lot more information. The model name or number is PROBABLY marked on the barrel or receiver. If it isn't there I might be able to help if you describe the gun and tell everything that is marked. Or you can look for it in The Standard Catalog of Firearms.
People are the answer to most problems. Try getting to know your local gunsmith or gun dealer. Or, send off to Remington and see if they have a manual you can get. Or, better yet, join the NRA and get to know the guys at the local range. Shooters are usually more than happy to help out someone who shares their interest in shooting and hunting. Books are always a good source, so check the library too. But, when all is said and done, someone who knows and is kind enough to pass on the information is your best bet. You might look around for a hunter safety class in your area too. Take the plunge, meet some people. Participants in the shooting sports are pretty nice folks, for the most part. Good luck. Well your model 11 12 gauge Remington is prolly only worth about 3 to 4 hundred bucks. Take it from somebody that has been hunting with one since he was 13 years of age, they are durable and one of the easiest to maintain. I am an avid waterfowl hunter and have been all my life down here in southeast Texas where rust is a way of life for us. Lots and Lots of lube and much hands on TLC is what "Grandma" gets. She has never let me down. Knock knock. I agree with what the other dude was saying about going to the Remington web sight and placing an order for you guns owner and service manual. But once you realize how simple it is you will be amazed. I learned the hard way. Trial and error. I don't sugest this. The value is more to a hunter than a collector!!!! It is the same shotgun designed by John Moses Browning (Browning A-5) Made by Remington under license agreement, It is a quality built shotgun. (It usually looses $100-$200 in value compared to the same Browning) Maintenance is pretty simple. ( There is not a lot of parts to deal with) Just clean it inside and out, oil it, and (no need to dismantle the reciever) if you remove the barrel for cleaning, note where the spacer ring was located on the spring. (It could be in the wrong place now) Mine was, or I put it back wrong the first time, not sure which. But I found a drawing and realized that the sping spacer was at the wrong end. Probably the most important thing on these shotguns is the way the barrel recoils for the reload. If you tighten the forearm nut good and tight "EXPECT A CRACKED FOREARM" Most older guns already have one or more. There are recessed dots, and as the nut gets snug you will hear clicks. DON'T GO PAST THREE OR FOUR! You just want to get it snug without getting it too tight. This is just a guess it might only take one to two clicks. I would go with no more than two, unless the forearm was obviously loose (wants to twist easily).
I have a 20 ga with a serial number within 800 of the serial number listed of 19067. The way to date this is by the letter in front of the serial number. On my shotgun the letter is C. C = 1951, B =1950 and A=1949. Stevens began the lettering system in 1949. Since my shotgun is within 800 I would expect the shotgun listed should have a letter assigned to it. If not then the shotgun is made prior to 1949. I would also like to know the value mine is in exc condition and has nil wear on the lock I have not found the model 5000 listed in any of the gun catalogs or trader magazines. The Model 5000 was made circa 1921-1931. About 1931 the model number was changed to 5100 and about 1941 it was changed to 311. Most references consider all three to be the 311. The letter code mentioned in the previous answer was marked with a number and a letter in a circle on the bottom of the frame between the trigger guard and the hinge.
What is the value of an American Gun Co 16 gauge single shot serial 574321?
I bought mine for 45 bucks and works fine but is far from perfect condition.
What is the value of a 12 gauge Ithaca side by side double barrel in good condition?
What is the serial # on the gun? With the serial #, one can date the gun and the model. It is simple then to get an estimate from the Blue Book of Gun Values. If you supply the first three digits and the total # of digits (eg.: 333xxx), I can do it for you.
Where can you get a stock for a Crescent Arms mod 60 410 gauge double shotgun?
You might would try "DIXIE GUN WORKS" out of UNION CITY, TENNESSEE, they have a butt stock that I believe can be fitted to most any old Crescent Double. They do carry a variety of different butt stocks and if they don't have an exact match, if you do much wood working or know a good gunsmith they probably have somthing that could be easily match to fit your shotgun and still retain an original look.

What is the value of a 12 gauge Ithaca double barrel serial 23751?
Try looking on Gunbroker.com for similar guns, and you can get an idea of what they are selling for. It's an auction, so the current bid may not be what the final bid is - you have to follow it to its conclusion to find out. However, sometimes you will see a "Buy Now" offer at a set price. As you might expect there are a lot of variables that determine the worth of the gun.
It's a model 107B. Made sometime between 1920 and 1948, but I think the tenite stocks were not used until after WWII. Can't tell you if ANY ammo is safe to use in it without seeing it, but it was DESIGNED for modern powders, probably 2 3/4 inch shells (3 inch if it is a 410) in whatever gauge fits the chamber. It was not designed for steel shot, but it would not cause catastrophic failure if used, just accelerated wear to the barrel. May not want to use slugs unless a gunsmith has verified that it is not tightly choked. If you plan on shooting an older gun when you do not know what type of care it has had, always have an experienced smith check it first and don't believe anything (except this statement) that you read on the web.
How old is a Model 21 410 Sears and Roebuck pump shotgun?
Sears model 21 pump shotguns were made by High Standard. The High Standard model designation is the K2011, also known as the Flite/Sport King. They were manufactured between 1960 and 1966. The K2011 was a 20ga shotgun, specifically the Flight King Deluxe. High Standard guns are characterized by Series (such as K2011) and then by catalog number which further defines exact features, barrel length, etc. The Sears Model 21 in .410 was a version of the K-410 series Flight King Field shotgun, catalog #8450. It was produced between 1962 and 1965. The Sears model number can be found on the left side of the barrel, and will be either 583.2085, 583.2086 or 583.2087. sales@countrygunsmith.net
