Wow!!! How so envious I am. I have no idea what that might be "worth" as far as auction value. I have an original Hillerich and Bradsby Louisville Slugger bat signed in blue sharpie (Green Diamond authenticated) by the Splendid Splinter himself, and that's worth around $2,000 give or take. Man, being a huge Red Sox/Ted Williams fan, AND a huge Winchester fan, that would be a crown jewel nominee for my collection!!! Congrats on such an awesome piece. There was no Ted Williams commermorative model 94 although Sears did sell a line of Ted Williams marked guns in the 50's and 60's, made by Winchester or Marlin, depending on who gave Sears the best deal. The Sears marked Winchesters tend to have a lower value than the Winchester marked equivalents.

If you have a rifle that is signed by Ted Williams then the above answer stands. There are Ted Williams collectors out there who would pay whatever the market bears for the piece. The value is not established and strictly negotiable.

As far as I know Iver Johnson made .22 break-top revolvers from 1900 to the 1930's and they were all seven shot if there were some five shots made I've never seen one.

Unless it's a special version, eg a US Military marked marked trench gun, - a nice one would bring $100 to $150 -- I just picked up a very good condition one marked 'Sears Ranger' with a factory Polychoke for $130 out the door of the local gun store. I have been corresponding with a fellow in Indiana who refurbishes and modifies them and that is the range of value that he cites. The trade name was used by Shapleigh Hardware of St Louis which was founded just after the Civil War and may still be in business. I would say a 16 gauge from one of the "shotgun mills" would have been a bit unusual before the mid to late 1920s, and by about 1950 most of the old trade names had disappeared. Less than $25 if busted or rusted. Less than $100 in excellent condition.

The company was known as J Stevens Arms and Tolls from 1886 till 1916. So your gun was made in that time frame. Best I can do

If it is a stock gun it probably has a open cylinder unless someone has added a choke.

Arms bearing this tradename were manufactured by a variety of American gunmakers.

The 16 gauge was made by Marlin, the .410 by Harrington & Richardson. The .22 by Savage/Stevens. Assuming all guns are fully functional but not in like-new condition, they are worth about $80, $150, and $100.

583 on a Sears Roebuck gun means it was manufactured by Hi Standard. Bolt action shotguns aren't very popular, so I would say it is worth no more than $100.

A single shot bolt action 20 gauge might be worth around 65-75 dollars in good shape.

JC Higgins Sporting goods line ran from 1908 to 1961 replaced Ted Williams line

Ithaca double barrel shotguns were made in several grades. Value will depend on grade and condition. The Blue Book lists a 16 gauge field grade in 90% condition at $750 while a grade 5E is $2500. And there are also a Grade 7E and a Sousa Grade, which are so rare that it is impossible to estimate what one might bring at auction. A 20 gauge double in usable condition should be worth $150-$250. A 2500 series Centennial, which had some silver plated parts, is listed at $500 in NRA Very Good in the Standard Catalog. If it is the standard model, only $200.

Your question as asked cannot be answered accurately, due to the large number of different shotguns made by Ithaca over the last 120 years. Some are very "cheap", while others are very expensive. Details such as Model, year, gauge, condition, etc. will all significantly impact its value. You might check out Gunbroker.com for some comparisons.

With any store-brand, you first need to find a cross-reference to the actual manufacturer and model. This can usually be used to determine the approximate age. In most cases, it will be valued at about 2/3 of the same gun sold under the manufacturer's name. For a modern shotgun (anything manufactured after 1900 is modern for all practical purposes) a value can usually be determined by finding the lowest price for a new gun of similar configuration: single shot, double barrel, automatic, slide action, or bolt action. A used shotgun will be worth about 1/2 to 1/3 of that price, depending on condition. I Have A Wards Western Field 12 Gauge Autoloader Shotgun, Model 600A ERI, The gun resembled a Remington, so I Contacted Remington's Historian and was informed that the gun was made for Montgomery Wards for a 3 year run from 1967-1969 with total production being around 3,000 guns total, mine based on the serial number was manufactured in 1968, as far as value the previous answer is still going to be the same.

If both the Stevens and Savage names are on the gun, it was made between 1948 and 1991. Model 258 is a double barrel, right? (don't have my reference book at hand) If so, if fully functioning and in decent shape, it should be worth around $250. The 258A is a bolt action Shotgun. The 258 is a bolt action shotgun manufactured between 1937-1965 with a two shell detachable box magazine. I would say that 250 is a reach. I would put it around $130.

The American Gun Company was the "house brand" of H&D Folsom Sporting Goods, New York City, c. 1895-1930. The guns were manufactured by Crescent Arms, Norwich, Connecticut.

Their single barrel shotguns sold for less than $10 when new. Their double barrel shotguns sold for $10-$15 when new.

Some people have asked about "genuine Damascus barrels." Before the invention of fluid steel barrels, shotgun barrels were made by winding strips of metal or wires around a mandrel and hammer-welding them. But they cannot withstand the pressures created by smokeless powder and are generally considered unsafe by modern standards.

Although not mentioned in this listing, there were also single shot break action shotguns similar in configuration. Since these are not collected, why would anyone pay more for one of them than they would for a new utility grade shotgun? $80 for a single shot, $250 for a double.

If you need parts, check the yellow pages for gunsmiths or go to a local gunshow. Be prepared to spend about twice the value of the repaired gun.

A "Trade Brand Name" shotgun is one that was made by a major maker for a wholesaler or retailer who chose the name to go on the gun and was sold as the store’s brand. This particular type of shotgun was made between 1900 and 1940. Shotguns with the name GIBRALTAR were made by one of two makers, Meriden Fire Arms Company of Meriden, CT or Stevens Arms & Tool Company of Chicopee Falls. MA. They were made for and sold by Sears Roebuck & Co of Chicago, IL. Depending on condition, value is about $50-$75.

If you mean a smoothbore with barrels less than 18 inches long, you can't buy one in the US without permission from the BATF. That depends on the local laws. Check with the local police or talk to gun guys at a gun shop or gun show.
