Also, help your mom with some small chores around the house, even if it's just picking up your socks and personal things putting away. Ask her if there is anything you can do to help her. Again, your mom does not hate you. She is just under lots of stress and worry. Show her you love her.

There's some things to consider. Maybe he always wanted a son, and this time and affection spent on this boy is making up for that. Or maybe he is simply trying to impress the girlfriend, and be in her good graces.

And maybe he is in a new life with the girlfriend, and just doesn't have as much time for you and your mom.

Could be a bit of all of that.

You could talk to him. Express your love for him, and share your concerns that things are becoming different in a way that makes you feel lost or alienated from him.
