best way to practice is to just stay stationary, the further you squat down to thrust up the higher you will ollie, so first you squat to pop the board up nose first by pushing down on back foot, then in the same motion you realese weight from front leg/foot, while at the same time sliding front foot forward effortlessly trying to level the board out

What is the best way to learn how to ollie?
The way i learned how to ollie was from watching some videos. That will help to teach you the basics of the ollie, but you pretty much have to just go out and try it. Everyone has a different tecnique, so find a way that works for you. PS:Learning to ollie will take some time. Dont give up and get frustrated. It took me half a year to ollie before it came to me naturally. _______________________________________________________________________ Try to do it on the carpet stationary. And watch Tony Hawks Trick tip on youtube for it. it really helped me allot. Now i can ollie 20 in.!!
If you are a beginner, I would start off by taking a few lessons. What you have to do is stand on it and push and you're off! Remember to keep your balance for turns. Good luck!
Just step on with one foot and push off with the other keeping balance and that's all there is to it. Once you have gained the confidence to extend your ability you can start doing tricks by flipping and jumping. Remember to wear pads and a helmet to protect yourself from all the falls that will inevitably happen though.
