I think so. I just saw pictures taken of one...really! it was definitely a skunk, but white with black on the head and a black stripe, bushy white tail. It was taken in Churchville, NY, late November, 2010

I say, from personal experience that skunks of both genders can spray. I stumbled upon a pair of mating skunks (male and female) and upon observing their rituals (sex practices) they became agitated at my close presence. My video camera was probably bothering them - they discontinued skunk coitus and simultaneously sprayed me and my video camera. So, YES, skunks of both genders can spray and I would assume that skunks of mixed gender can also spray.

I don"t know they are somewhat shy and reserved animals until they pull their chemical war act. I had a funny thing happen a couple of years ago, a cousin of mine who lives in Pennsylvania ( rural) has a Boxer called (Rocky) an appropriate name!. well I did find out that Rocky got (Skunked) and the old back woods De-contaminant, Tomato Juice was pressed into service.
