Slugs and Snails

Snails can be beneficial in an aquarium because they will keep algae down, and they also feed on dead plants and animals. You have to use caution with which types of snails to get and how many of them, because they can also cause damage if not managed properly.

Brine shrimp also know as "jurbalia" reproduce every day in the correct environment. They drop seeds called "cuntacula"which contain nicotine for personal growth. It usual takes around 2-4 days for a juvenile shrimp to reach maturity if female. Although it takes 4-6 weeks for a male shrimp to reach adulthood.

There are a few different breeds that are eaten.

The name of the prepared snail is "escargot". The 't' at the end is silent.

Turtles are scavengers and will readily take a bite out of a slow moving Koi trapped in a pond or other confinement.

Octopus, Ocean, Orca, Otter, Oyster

Snails are bottom feeders so they will usually eat debris at the bottom of a tank, as well as some algae if they come upon it. They can usually eat leftover flakes from regular fish feeding, but you may want to drop in a few pellets for them here and there to make sure that they have adequate food. If you have catfish or any other bottom feeders, they will eat these as well.

The habitat of a snail needs to be warm and moist. They live best in humid environments with plenty of grass to eat.

Molluscs are animals which have no backbone (invertebrates) and no exoskeleton. These include snails (they have an outer shell but it isn't an exoskeleton) slugs (no shell, no exoskeleton, no bones) octopuses (they have no bones. They aren't fish because all fish have bones.) Sea snails and periwinkles are just other types of snail.

It depends on the species. The most common snail in the hobby for example is the Golden Apple Snail. The female lays its eggs above the water surface at a clutch containing about 200-600 eggs. These eggs will hatch within about 2-3 weeks, depending on temperature an humidity of the air (the air above the water surface should have high humidity)- thus, a glass cover on the tank is essential (water level should be about 5-7.5cm/2-3inch below the glass cover).

They aren't, particularly. Snails are a famous French food outside France, which is quite different. Anglo-Saxons shudder at the idea of eating snails, though many of them will happily tackle cockles, winkles and whelks. Apparently, if the shell comes from the sea, you can eat it just boiled, whereas if it comes from the land, it must be disgusting, even if it's first extracted from the shell, chopped up and cooked in garlic and butter. There's no accounting for tastes.

Apple snails are not called apple snails because they eat apples. They are called Apple Snails because of their size. True apple snails (Pomacea canaliculata) can grow up to 5" in Dia. Nontheless Apple Snails can eat apples.

Some of the fish keepers think that they are useful and some invest efforts to get rid of them. Those who think that they are useful call them aquarium bulldozers and praise their ability to eat leafs, dead fish and uneaten food and keep the tank "clean" from troubles. Other fish keepers just can't see their present in the tank and spend time to get rid of them claiming that those snails disfigure the tank, they also say that the snails create new colonies in short time and those colonies create excreta and quickly deteriorating water quality.

Bananas aren't necessarily part of a banana slugs diet, but they could eat a banana if they wanted to.

The kind of skeleton a crab has is an exoskeleton. This means that instead of bones inside its body it has a hard outer shell that supports and protects it.

A snail has a spiral shell, is usually small, has a soft squishy body with no legs, just a "tummy foot", and a land snail has two pair of tentacles, and the top pair, (longest) is its eyes, the bottom (shortest), is its feelers, sea snails have no bottom pair.

This is personal but I think considering to all the people I met in my life that 10 to 20% of population like snails.

if it is up and moveing about it is happy if it is moveing really slow and wont move it is tired and sleepy if you lay leaf down in the bottom of the cage and set it on the leaf [bubby leafs work the best] it will eat a hole thre the leaf
