Totally. Just treat it like you would with hot wax made for snowboards. It actually works quite well, but it does wear off faster than specialized wax (my theory: no big deal- it's cheaper regardless, I'd rather spend my money on a lift ticket). All of the fandangled specialized wax is totally expensive and unnecessary not needed except for comps. To do this iron the wax and scrape it to a thin film. It can take quite a few treatments to saturate the base.

•Basically, a skater is pro when he or she can make a living from the demonstration of their skateboarding skills. So, if a skater is young, then it's tricky to call them "pro", because they are still in school, live with their parents, etc. But, on a very basic level, someone is a pro skater when they can live off of it - so really, it's up to that skater. This type of "pro" is the same as in any other kind of sport. Usually this type of pro will have a few sponsors, and travel around to competitions, living off of the money generated from sponsors and competitions (sponsors like their pros to do well in competitions too, so the system feeds itself, as long as the pro keeps doing well).

•However, there is a system among skateboarding companies where certain sponsors will not call a skater they sponsor "pro" until they decide that that certain skater is good enough.

•This type of "pro" labeling often comes with products with his or her name on them. With this kind of pro labeling, skateboarding teams will have a certain number of pro skaters, and a certain number of am (amateur) skaters. This is used more for teams who travel and do demos, and film videos. And how much do pro skateboarders get paid for pro endorsements? That's TOTALLY up in the air. Some guys get loads of money to use their name, and other guys - the less known pros - can get hardly anything. It all depends on how they perform, how the sales go, and how much they are valued by that sponsor. You'll notice at events like the X Games, when a skater does really well and the cameras are on him or her, sometimes they hold up their skateboards to show off sponsor stickers - or they make sure that certain sponsor stickers on their helmets are always seen. That's because that sponsor pays them well, and they want to keep them happy and make sure the sponsor gets their money's worth! It's not all bad, when you think it through - if no one was sponsoring most of these guys, they wouldn't be able to afford to travel and skate, and we would never see them. Sponsorships and endorsements can make things ugly, but they also open a lot of doors. There's a lot of room to argue on this topic, and I think arguing can be healthy.

•The world of pro skaters is strange. The top pros do get a lot of money, but the top of the mountain is a small place, and while they are all usually friendly (more so than in a lot of sports), some elbowing does happen. And sometimes, guys just fall right off…

Some ski resorts operate year round but your best bet would be to go to the opposite hemisphere i.e. if you live in the northern hemisphere go to the southern hemisphere and vice versa.

get cardboerd and old shoes what fit you get some glue and cut a desinge out then glue it on the cardboerd get sizzors and cut out a snowboerd shape then get superglue and stick the old shoes on and get bubble rap and stick it on the bottom.

Because snowboarding can be done in so many different ways, there is and may never be a world snowboarding champion. Some snowboarders dominate the type of snowboarding they do. For example, Simon Chamberlain seems to be the best street snowboarder, but my guess is that he isn't very good at downhill racing because of his time spent street snowboarding.

well i wouldn't say so. if you can do a 360 shov-it you can impossible. all it is is that but you turn the board over. to me the hardest trick is the 720 flip. for those of you who don't know a 720 double kickflip is two 360 flips in the air. but one person did it with one flip. idk how. but to me that is the hardest. you have been enlightened

Nope! Snowboarding can be done individually. It does not need to have a team to play this sport.

Goofy is when you skate with your right foot in front of your left, you push off with your left foot. You can get Goofy mongo though which is when you skate with your right foot in front of your left, but instead of pushing with your left you push with your right.

Well this is a very broad question. It depends on where you live. On the east coast or 'ice coast' you will find good smaller resorts like LOON and Waterville Valley. In the Mid West there are some decent resorts in Northern Michigan like Boyne and Crystal Mountain but your best bet would be Blue Mountian, ON. Out West the amount of great snowboarding is endless. Anything in Colorado or Utah will satisfy your needs. Big Bear California is a great small resort where the whole mountain is a terrain park. Also Mamoth, and Tahoe in CA are great. Mt. Baker WA and Mt. Hood OR are also 2 of my favorites.

it depends on what they look like. theres kickers which usually is like a jump with a gap. or if you can roll over it then its usually called a knuckle or tabletop.

No, they're a decent board for beginners, but I wouldn't call it a good brand. If you're new to snowboarding I always suggest going used until you decide you're into the sport. You can get a used set up from a reputable brand for the same price or less than buying a "cheaper" brand new. Some good brands are Burton, Ride, Rome, Lib Technologies, Gnu, M3, Forum, and DC has also started making boards that are pretty nice. Along with Nitro, they used to make beginner boards but have upped their quality the past few years.

June to September is the usually the best time for skiing or snowboarding in New Zealand. The best time within this range in any given year varies depending on the weather in that year.

Rollor skating is easier. You are on 4 wheels and on a floor. Ice skating you are on ice and you are on a thin blade. I went rollor skating and i was shocked on how much easier it was then ice skating.
