Why does my computer does not connect to computer and sound does not comes in speaker after i formatted my computer having Intel?

When you "format a computer", what you're essentially doing is erasing everything on the hard drive. This includes all your files and information you've saved, along with your operating system and device drivers. When your computer boots with a freshly formatted hard drive, it starts looking for an operating system, sees there is none there, and usually shows an error message saying something like "DISK OR DRIVE ERROR". If this is the case, you need to find the installation disks for your operating system (Windows, or Mac OS X if you're using a modern Mac), and use them to install your OS again.

If you've installed the Operating system, and you're having problems playing sound or connecting to the net, it's likely you need to install device drivers. These help your operating system work with the hardware in your computer - you can find them by searching online (using another computer) for the drivers for your make of modem, sound card, or other devices which aren't working yet. If your hardware came with a disk, usually the driver can be found on that.

Is the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 Sound Card MAC compatible?

Yes, that sound card should work perfectly well with a Mac so long as it meets the minimum requirements (G3* 500MHz with OS 9.2.2, 128MB RAM # G4* 500MHz with OS X 10.1.5, 10.2.6 or greater, 256MB RAM). If you aren't sure your machine can run it, open up the About This Mac screen and compare with those specs.

What are the 25 pin plug-ins on the back of your computer for and what are they called?

there are 2 diffferent styles of the 25 pin connectors on the back of a pc. One is called the male gender which can be identified by gold colored pins sticking out and are layed out in 2 rows- top row has 13 pins and second row has 12 pins. the other style is layed out the same way, however, it is called the female gender and all you can see is 25 holes instead of pins. The male connector is used for "serial" type of communication where the coded information is sent to another device using 1 wire in the cable to send information and 1 wire to receive information from another device. the other wires in the connector are used for control of data back and forth between devices. This was the first way devices communicated bi-directionally with each other. The female connector is used for "parallel" style communication and is usually only used to send data to a printer.

How can you record the sound coming through your sound card in Windows when you are using a Realtek HD sound card and don't have sterio mix in your volume control properties realtek input?

First, before we move on, make sure that you have windows up to date and all the latest drivers for your device.

OK, for starters, if you have windows vista try this:

In windows vista, the "stereo mix" is disabled by default. It being a virtual sound card, most people have trouble finding how to to enable it seeing as it does not show up in device manager. To enable the virtual sound card in Windows Vista, open the control panel, then sound: Control Panel-->Sound-->Recording Tab. Now right click the window. You should have two option appear that says "display disabled devices" and "display disconnected devices". Make sure "display disabled devices" is selected. A sound card called "stereo mix" should appear. Open the device properties and enable. You should then have your stereo mix in the audio control. Should should then be able to select that sound card from the list in your recording software's settings. (You may have to restart your computer first.)

If you are using a version of windows other than vista, or if you are using a laptop and want to record a stereo mix without playing audio through your speakers there is a great program out the called "Virtual Audio Cable" (VAC). It installs what a virtual sound card on your pc, well sort of... it allows you to set up a virtual patch bay system with multiple audio feeds. You could set the VAC output device as your primary sound card, then record from it. I will include a better description as well a a link to this software. The only downside is it cost $30 USD, but in my opinion, this someware is worth the price if you are doing a lot of recording.

A third alternative to buying software would be VLC media player. VLC media player has the option of saving any open streams to almost any file type. It opens streams from web streams, local files, as well as audio and video devices. It can also be conersed into converting files very nicely although this may take some practice will file formats, etc. It's free. I will include a link.

PS: Here's that VAC description I promised.

VAC is intended to connect several audio applications together in real time. It's like a sound card with hardwired input and output: when an application sends an audio stream to a virtual cable, other applications can record this stream from the other cable end. Thus, you can record and process output of almost any audio application by almost any other audio application.

How do you install drivers LAN and sound without motherboard CD I lost it?

This can be a frustrating thing!

The only choice you have is to either go to the NIC and sound manufacturer web sites and get the drivers, usually in the "support" section, or search (Google) for sites with drivers. That would be what I call the last resort as you are now using 3rd party software and could end up with malicious software and not the driver you need.

Best bet:

If available, call the mfr's and ask about where to get the drivers. most mfrs run either web sites, or FTP servers with all the drivers old and new.

Finally, since the drivers were apparently on one CD, it's an OEM CD. Go to your computer mfrs's website (i.e. dell.com, gateway.com, etc and look for the "support section". Any mfr should be able to provide a replacement driver CD.

How come your Computer fails to boot up with a new sound card?

NOTE: this reply for PC only.

The new card is trying to hold some resource that another part is trying to grab - since it's not even booting up it's probably grabbing the resources of the video subsystem (video card most often) if the screen doesn't come up right after you turn it on OR the it's grabbing the resources for the hard drive controller (which would stop boot of OP System.) You should take the new card out, close the computer, start it up, record the present settings (you can find in control panel in any windows after windows 95) and if you can change the video card to an empty number try that. Restart computer to be sure it worked. Shut it down, insert sound card. Boot up. If that doesn't work, see if you can change where the hard drive controller points to; close it, restart. If it works, close and turn off, reinstall new sound card.

If you can change the sound card now to something different than video or hard driver controllers old numbers, do so. Now change the video back (if it was changed) or revert the hard drive controller. Restart.

What are opinions on the Asus X800XL PCIE graphics card?

Fast 3D performance Very good 2D quality Decent video capture quality Dual DVI Slightly costlier Massive box Poor TV-out quality Weak overclocking (our sample anyway) This was a very nice card to play with, and shows that the x800XL cards are the sweet spot for ATi cards right now. Asus has done well, but there is nothing included that justifies the price difference between it and similarly equipped cards. If you find this info useful please vote!!!

Is there a way to send sound from your laptop to another computer without using the sound card on your laptop like over a network or usb the laptop has Windows 7 home Other computer windows xp?

Yes - you can send the sound file as an attachment to an email, or copy it to a USB drive and transfer it onto the other computer that way. Neither of these methods utilise the sound card.
