I have the exact answer because i had the same problem too. you come in through jelly fish fields and open the first metal door, which you get to when you press the up arrow, and keep going right through all the obstacles until you get to the point where it looks like you have to get another power to go through the jump-and-break platforms, but just fall off of the right side of the tree stump you are on and fight the jelly fish king, then summon the sea creatures and you should find planktons robot brain and a doorway to the clearing. p.s. the other part to the robot is with sandy but you will learn that later.
