How did the light bulb contribute to society in history?
The light bulb contributed to longer working hours and more productivity. It also led to more stress from working long hours.
Well, the light bulb didn't really have that much to do with "productivity", per SE.( yes it did, the workers could see so they could be more efficient.) What the light bulb did was free mankind from being a slave to darkness. It's hard to imagine how life all over the world was before the invention of the light bulb (and electricity, and copper wire, and all the other stuff that goes into illumination). Even with candles, most people everywhere went to bed when it got dark. There was no light outside except for moonlight. None. It was REALLY, REALLY dark out. The invention of the light bulb allowed mankind to do stuff after the sun went down, like walk around downtown, stay up after dark to read, and so on. Imagine - a big city like New York or London or Des Moines, COMPLETELY deserted after dark except for muggers, thieves and bad guys. That's how it was, all over the world, until the light bulb. Yeah, some cities had gas lights, but they were poor imitations, and didn't really help all that much. And they didn't come in until just a few dozen years before electricity anyway.
The light bulb brought LIGHT to human society. It's importance can not be over-stated.
How old was Thomas Edison when he died?
Thomas Edison died on October 18th, 1931. He was 84 years of age when he died.
What year did Thomas Edison invent cement?
Thomas Edison DID NOT invent cement! From Rutgers University's "Edison Papers" collection we learn the following: "While attempting to develop his ore milling process to concentrate low-grade iron ore, Edison found that he could sell the waste sand to cement manufacturers. In 1899, he decided to investigate how he might transfer his rock-crushing technology to the production of Portland cement. During the next few years, Edison made other improvements in cement manufacture, the most important of which was a long rotary kiln that he licensed to other manufacturers, as well as using at the automated plant he built in Stewartsville, New Jersey. The kiln helped lead to overproduction in the industry and the Edison cement plant was never very profitable. Edison Portland cement was used extensively for buildings, roads, dams, and other structures, including Yankee Stadium. Edison also designed a system for building inexpensive cement houses that he planned to license to other manufacturers. Only a few of these were ever built." http://edison.rutgers.edu/cement.htm
In 1879 this invention Thomas Edison burned for 13 hours?
The light bulb. The light bulb. The light bulb.
Who were Thomas Edisons coworkers?
As far as I know, he worked with many different people at different periods of time. Two people he had worked with/assisted are Franklin L. Pope and Sholes (full name unknown, sorry).
While Thomas Edison is often credited with inventing the practical and commercially viable incandescent light bulb, there were other inventors working on similar technologies around the same time. One notable figure is Sir Humphry Davy, a British scientist who experimented with electric arcs and developed the carbon arc lamp in the early 19th century. This was an early form of electric lighting, but it was not as practical or efficient as Edison's incandescent light bulb.
Another important figure in the development of electric lighting was Sir Hiram Maxim, an American-born inventor who became a British citizen. He invented the Maxim lamp, which used a different approach by using a mantle of carbonized cellulose as the filament. However, this design also faced limitations compared to Edison's incandescent lamp.
It's important to note that Edison's innovation wasn't just in creating the concept of electric light but in developing a practical, long-lasting, and commercially viable incandescent light bulb. His work led to the widespread adoption of electric lighting in homes and businesses. While there were others working on similar ideas, Edison's contributions were particularly significant in the history of electric lighting.
What new inventions were there in World War 1?
The aircraft carrier was a new invention in World War I. The use of deadly gases was also a new invention in World War I.
How many times did Thomas Edison improve the telegraph?
Thomas Alva Edison did NOT invent the telegraph. Even before Edison was born, a man names Samuel Morse invented and perfected his telegraph. However, I'm sure he did try to perfect it, him being one of the most curious inventors ever. Remember, he did invent many things with the -graph suffix: phonograph etc. The phonograph he did perfect however with his tinfoil cylinder. He proved it by reciting the nursery rhyme "Mary Had A Little Lamb" and even made talking dolls with a mini phonograph stuffed inside of it. To visit his laboratory, you can go to West Orange, NJ his biggest laboratory invented.
How did Edison come up with the idea to what they invented?
Edison was known for his methodical approach to problem-solving and invention. He would often conduct countless experiments and iterations until he achieved the desired result. His inventions were often born out of a combination of rigorous experimentation, collaboration with other experts, and a deep understanding of scientific principles.
Why was the curling iron invented?
what do you mean why was a curling iron invented? it was invented cuz we ned it in our lives and most people use it a lot!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thomas Edison held 1,093 patents, including for the incandescent light bulb and the phonograph.
Why The lightbulb is jophef swans invention why does Thomas Edison get all the credit?
Because Thomas Edison made it PRACTICAL, by discovering a filament that would last more than a few seconds.

Edison had six children, three from his first marriage and three from his second: Marion (b. 1872)
Thomas Alva Jr. (b. 1876)
William (b. 1878) Madeleine (b. 1888)
Charles (b. 1890)
Theodore (b. 1898) Not-so-trivial trivia: When Theodore lived in West Orange, New Jersey, where Edison had had the laboratory that became the Edison Museum, the neighborhood was crowded, and parking spaces were scarce. Theodore designated a lot adjacent to his home for the free use of neighbors who needed a place to park.
