Very simple. Most flash drives will install as a Mass Storage Device, meaning they will be assigned a drive letter or default name (if you haven't assigned a name to it in the past).
Using WindowsUsing Windows Explorer, navigate to the folder where the files/folders are located. Select the photos by clicking them. Select multiple files by holding CTRL while you click. Right-click one of the selected files. Choose COPY. Go To START > MY COMPUTER. Here is where all of your drives are located. Your flash drive should be listed here. Double click it. What are 6 common storage devices?
There are many storage devices that are used in everyday computing. If you mean storage devices as for what you can use to store data and save then I believe the following are very common:
* Hard drive * DVD * CD * USB Thumb Drive * Compact Flash Drive (the small flash drives you put in camera's) * Network Storage Server (If you save files online this is what is used) RAM is another storage device but it is only used by the operating system on your computer. So you really have no ability to save information on them.

Is USB 2.0 or Firewire faster?
The maximum speed of USB2 at 480M/Sec is a little quicker than Firewire 400 (IEEE.1394a) which runs at 400 M/Sec (hence the "400" bit of the name). In tests, however, FireWire 400 delivers a higher sustained transfer speed. Benchmarks suggest that hard drives connected with FireWire will copy information considerably faster than they would using USB 2.0. To achieve higher performance, FireWire requires additional circuitry in supported devices. This often makes FireWire more expensive than USB 2.0. Firewire 800 (IEEE.1394b) as the names suggests, has a peak speed of almost 800 M/Sec. Used primarily by PC musicians for recording and transferring multichannel audio at high sample rates and for digital video cameras and decks
