Yes, you can remove a hard drive from an older computer, place it in a new computer, and format it. Simply formatting it will leave it with no operating system, and thus useless in the Windows 98 computer. Installing Windows 98 to the drive from in your new computer may be difficult if your computer exceeds 512 MB of RAM, or if you use a SATA CD/DVD drive. Installing Windows XP to the drive might not work when placed back into the older computer if it doesn't meet XP's system requirements.
First you need to download and install an ISO creator such as MagicISO. Put in the cd, go to My Computer, right click the icon for whatever drive the CD is in (usually E:). When you right click on the CD drive icon, there should be an option called MagicISO, with an arrow next to it. Mouse over, than click "Make image file from E:". MagicISO will open and a box will show up; pick your file destination (in this case, your flash drive), and type in a name for the file, then click on "OK" or "burn".
Nope. Apple's gay like that. DRM keeps Itunes as the only way to move songs through your Ipod. If your Ipod ain't getting recognized as the Ipod with your stuff on it, then Itunes will only let you delete everything and start over.
Many digital devices such as cameras that use memory cards will have an icon or other option selection to view contents of a memory card as well as to format the memory card. If a computer has a slot for the card, you can insert it and use an application to format the card. It is often available in explorer (windows) or nautilus (linux) by right clicking the memory card entry.
To erase a thumb or flash drive, place it in a USB port. Find the drive in Windows Explorer. Right click on the drive in Explorer. A menu will drop down with Format being a choice. Click on Format and follow instructions.
If you look at your properties of the pen drive it wil say:
4.001.333.248 bytes this equals 3,72 GB.
Yes if you have copied and thus created a backup on your flash drive it is safe to delete them off your computer, but I would recommend keeping them there so you have two copies of them in case something happens to on of the copies.
Yes, a USB stick is re-writeable. Unless the information is protected.
127 USB devices are supported by one host controller.
Answering, depending on Quality, Length, it Varies.
Traditional Quality Standard DVD-Rip AVI @ 700MB
1 GB = 1024 MB > 700MB DVD-Rip
16GB = 16384 MB
16,384 / 700 = 23.40571428571429
So the answer is 22 or 23 videos sized exactly of 700MB will fit.
Remember that even though it says 16GB, it's more like 14GB or 15GB due to format partitioning.
It depends on how large the flash drive is, and how large the files are.
Take the size of the flash drive in GB, divide by the average size of the files in MB, and multiply by 1000.
So for example if you are storing photographs that are 2 MB in size on an 8 GB flash drive, you could store approximately 8 / 2 x 1000 = 4000 photos
==========
It also depends on the file structure in use. Most flash drives come pre-formatted with either FAT32 or exFAT - although most of them can be re-formatted to use other file structures. Both FAT32 and exFAT allow some flexibility in the size of the clusters used. Since storage is allocated by cluster - with enough clusters allocated to accommodate each file, the maximum number of files is also limited to the number of clusters.
As an example, theoretically if you had an 8 TB flash drive (wouldn't that be sweet) formatted with FAT32 using 32 KB clusters the maximum number of files would be 268,173,300. For smaller total capacity and/or larger cluster size, the number of files will diminish proportionately.
when you put your micro scandisk into the adapter to put it into your computer or card reader you are probably pushing up the lock or hold key on the adapter you do not need to do that that is so you cannot deleat your content not to lock in the micro card hope this information has helped you good luck!!!!!!
Flash was originally developed by FutureWave software and called FutureSplash Animator. The product was then sold to Macromedia corporation, who changed its name to Flash.
A great advantage of removable storage is that it is portable and can be plugged into other computers.
When a group of people use the web to plan a time and place to participate in a public act that seems spontaneous
It was invented by an israeli company called "M-Systems" and the brand is called "Disk on key"
If you are wondering about USB the Technology:
USB was first released in 1995 by a number of companies including Copmaq, DEC, Microsoft, Intel, NEC and Nortel.
If you are wondering about USB flash drives:
Many companies claim to have invented the USB storage device bit M-Systems was the one to get the patent in 2000.
Trek Technology and IBM began selling the first USB flash drives commercially in 2000.
All Wrong... the M-systems comment is likely talking about the USB Flash Drive commonly known as the USB Thumb Drive. From my research the Universal Serial Bus USB was known about as early as 1994. The only fact about this is that a number of companies teamed up in its creation, Microsoft, Intel, etc. It was officially released January 1996 and put into production February 1996. USB 1.0 was likely invented sometime in 1995.
It's an output. I think.
The usb port is already in there, so it should be an output.
An input is something you put in, and an output is something that comes out.
Hope this helps. :)
Open up computer right click on computer click on explorer click on files you want to use
(For example pictures) then drag the file to removable disk or what every yours say.
Email me at jackie2830@hotmail.com if it works ok.
Items can be moved on and off of them, unlike a CD, when you burn an item, it burns it and no items can be put back onto it. Plus, they are small and portable, unlike a CD. They also come in 16 gigabyte forms, with DVDs only going up to 4.7 gigabytes, and CDs going up to only 750 megabytes.
For me, and for what I have researched all over the Internet, the best option would be the NTFS file system.
Doing this, you will be able to attach your external hard drive to any Windows computer without any problem, and for Macintosh, as I did, you can download a little free driver from (http://www.ntfs-3g.org/) in order to let your Mac OS X write on your NTFS disk.
It is easier to have this driver installed on your Mac, than install the driver in all the Windows computer you want to copy files from it.

Alright USB is Universal Serial Bus wich is used to connect devices to your comptuer. Now a thumb drive is a very small device that has a varitey of the ammount of storage they can hold. Now Flash Drive sometimes reffered to as Thumb Drive is really fast but cost more and holds less. Now USB hard drives are slow transfer rate but the thumb drive plugs into a USB so im not sure what exactly you mean. Hope this helped :)
