pull the front facia off the heater dials then you find a white box which is to operate the heater dials remove the front from there which is clipped on then there are your bulbs

the size is 20 inch max but i prefer 19 inch with think tyres

IF U ARE LOOKING 4 THE OIL DRAIN HOLE THEAN IT IS AT THE BOTTOM OF THE SUMP ON THE CAR U MAY HAVE TO REMOVE A PLASTICK UNDER PAN TO SEE THE SUMP PLUG IF UR CAR OR VAN STILL HAS 1 FITED

dunno the marks seem strange to me have just pulled down my missus 1.8 n found when crank pulley mark is showing t.d.c. marks on cam sprockets are pointing at 3 oclock inlet and 9 oclock exhaust so will have to leave it till ive seen a photo sorry mate

i think you can get at it if you lift up the back seat, remove the cloth and there should be a plug hole there

I can assume that you are talkin about centre belt cause they seem to be a big problem.

First of all before you go there , there is a cable that runs from the seat belt unit to the catch that your seat clips into when you have laid it down.

You will probably find that the seat catch is not engaged properly which stops a cable from retracting and allowing the seat belt mechanism to release.

Try lubricating the latch at the rear of the seat and also slamming.

This is a safety device so if your seat is not clipped in properly you cannot pull out seat belt.

If this doesn't work -

Unclip the the rear protector on the rear of your seat and you will see along the edge of the seat near the bottom ,where you undo the fabric from the seat .

Fold the fabric at the top away after unclipping the plastic insert were the belt goes into the seat, You will see some screws holding a steel plate over the belt.

Remove the plate - Look on the back of the seat on the steel part and there is a bolt holding seat belt in place , Undo this and abstract seat belt from between foam and release cable from seat belt..

The oil filter on a 2008 Saturn Astra is located in front of the engine. The oil filter can be found on the underside of the exhaust manifold towards the passenger side of the vehicle.

Open the bonnet.

To the right of the battery (as you look at it) is a black plastic box. About 12" by 8".

Use a flat-bladed screwdriver with a blade about 5mm wide (the one that comes in the vehicle tool-kit is ideal) to release the lid of the box. Insert the screwdriver in the middle of the clip (top and bottom next to the battery) and rotate slightly while pulling up on the lid. Repeat for the other clip, and then lift the left of the box lid to the right, it's hinged on the right. Lift the lid out of the way.

There are several rows of fuses. Right at the bottom of the fuse box, closest to the font bumper are two fuses on their own, right next to each other.

One is Red. This is the one for the pump. On some cars it's on the left, on others on the right. The other one is (If I remember Blue) not red.

If it is not a Mk5, these instructions are of no relevance.

The sensor output is used to calculate injector pulse width. The (MAF) sensor is what is referred to as a "hot-wire sensor". The sensor uses a thin platinum wire filament, wound on a ceramic bobbin and coated with glass, that is heated to 200*C (417*F) above the ambient air temperature and subjected to the intake airflow stream. A "cold-wire" is used inside the (MAF) sensor to determine the ambient air temperature. Battery voltage from the EEC power relay, and a reference signal and a ground signal from the PCM are supplies to the (MAF) sensor. The sensor returns a signal proportionate to the current flow required to keep the "hot-wire" at the required temperature. The increased airflow across the "hot-wire" acts as a cooling fan, lowering the resistance and requiring more current to maintain the temperature of the wire. The increased current is measured by the voltage in the circuit, as current increases, voltage increases. As the airflow increases the signal return voltage of a normally operating (MAF) sensor will increase. Testing 1. Using a multimeter, check for voltage by back probing the (MAF) sensor connector. 2. With the key ON, and the engine OFF, verify that there is at least 10.5 volts between the VPWR and GND terminals of the (MAF) sensor connector. If voltage is not within specification, check power and ground circuits and repair as necessary. 3. With the key ON, and the engine ON, verify that there is at least 4.5 volts between the SIG and GND terminals of the (MAF) sensor connector. If voltage is not within specification, check power and ground circuits and repair as necessary. 4. With the key ON, and the engine ON, check voltage between GND and SIG RTN terminals. Voltage should be approximately 0.34-1.96 volts. If voltage is not within specification, the sensor may be faulty.

There is I believe a cluster of relays above the glove box.The indicator unit is among these.You need to unscrew the glove box for access.

Okay, don't know how old this question is but anyway... Get down on your hands and knees, or back is best and look under the front of the vehicle. You should see the sump and the base of the engine. There are two small bolts easily identfiable, theough they are close to flush woith the base of the engine. The front one is the oil sump. The one approx 20cm further back is the transmission oil sump. The oil sump usually requires a special tool, a modified L-key tool, while the transmission opens with a size 10 metric L-key. Know if i could just find where i can buy this specialist tool to open the oil sump I would be able to finish the job I strated 2 hours ago. Arrivederche, Marc
