on my 53 vectra you have to unlock all the cr doors ie press remote twice. petrol cap will then open

I've been told today that to replace with a new one will cost €800 approx, or €600 with a recondition.

About 8.5 miles per litre or 38 miles per gallon in real money. That's what I achieved in my 1995 X20XEV 2.0 16v ECOTEC average consumption figures over a distance of 20,000 miles

I believe all vauxhalls are recommended for a belt change at 40,000 miles.

If your locking system is not functioning ,and usually the power windows and alarm are all linked together, powered by one small fuse witch is located just above the fuse / relay panel very well hidden and hard to find , it will not be shown in the directory panel ., hope this helps ,thanks Louis

guess it is the engine management light , has a box shaped like an engine on it, it means the computer has found something faulty in the engine , often it is the camshaft sensor that's broken , they don't last very long i think, can be crank sensor too, or airflow sensors. and other things.

Likely something to do with the Cam angle sensor...other symptoms are engine stalling (even with autotrans) and rough starting.

The water pump on a Vectra 2.0 DTL is located just behind and to the right of the crankshaft pulley. This is on the front of the motor. One easy way to find a water pump is to trace where the hoses go from the radiator.

Engine management light on....needs to go to a vauxhall garage or local garage to be plugged into diagnostic centre then you will know whats wrong with it...

its trip com meaning trip computer. it tells you things like 1 range of fuel in tank, 2 average speed, 3 average fuel consumption, 4 outside temperature, 5 trip distant, even has a stop watch.

Just had to get 1 myself. only place is vauxhall main dealer, about £30. takes about a week to come, as it is ordered from vauxhall itself.

take to a garage to bleed needs a mehanical tool to prime bleed the fuel, if u try to self bleed it by turning the engine over u will destroy the fuel pump, and big money to replace it

i would recomend that you have the timing belt changed every 55k but they will last up till 70k , 60k seems to be the mileage that most have it done , but not all vectras have a timing belt !!! some such as the 2.2sri150 have a timing chain !!! hope this helps

It means there is an electrical fault with the Fuel injection system.

If you mean the white one with a black top on it and a torx type depression in the middle of it - it is the power steering fluid bottle. Mounted on top of the electric power steering unit
