Corn oil is mostly unsaturated. It contains about 13% saturated fatty acids.

If 1 gal of vegetable oil weighs 7.6lb then the formula to convert to 1 cup is

7.6 lb/gal X 1 gal/128 fl oz* X 8 fl oz/1 cup = 0.475 lb/cup.

*don't confuse liquid oz (fluid oz) with dry oz (oz). One is volume and the other is weight. They are not interchangeable.

Sunflowers

Sure, it seemed to help loosen up my glove but, now I can't get the olive oil out of my glove. I guess it will dry out over time but, I used too much and now my glove is holding the olive oil and I can;t get it out. In hindsight, there are better ways to break in a glove that presents less of a mess.

Absolutely. I actually use vegetable oil instead of sunflower oil regularly. It makes the cake rise better and taste better too. Vegetable oil is a great substitute for many cooking oils. And canola oil works fairly well too for cakes and most baking. I dont hardly ever use Sunflower oil because it seems to leave behind a taste. And I don't really like it. But as I said, vegetable oil is a perfect substitute.

I don't think that there is acetic acid in soybean oil. Acetic acid, the second simplest carboxylic acid is found in vinegar, I think. And I haven't heard any research on acetic acid on oil. Maybe they are both an organic compound but soybean oil mainly compose of triglyceride, a fatty acid and a long alkyl chain. On the other hand, acetic acid is a carboxylic acid compose of alkane(ethane) and is called ethanoic acid. Have i answered your question? You are talking about hydrogenated oils I imagine. Hydro as in water. I'm weak on the details, but it is how water is used to cause oils to become solids so that margarine can be made. If you look at the ingredients, there is quite a lot of water in it.

Palm oil is grown inSumatra and Borneo in the rain forests they burn it down and then cut the trees and kill any orangutan that had survived then they plant tree after tree of African palm that produces palm oil for our products in Tescos and Asda and all the other supermarkets that we buy not knowing that we are killing helpless animals.

You absolutely can! There are even some turkey fryer oils that are already a peanut blend that are much cheaper. The only downside to veg oil is it will breakdown faster, meaning you may not get more uses out of it as you would peanut oil.

The problem with both these is the studies that have been done on this additive. Bromine only causes side effects when you take supplements that are mainly Bromine. Not when it is included as part of an additive that is barely put into drinks. Something else to think about, BVO is banned in other countries, but not Bromine, why not because it is used in almost everything. Bromine is very useful. In order to get to dangerous levels of consumption I (all 200 lbs of me), would have to drink over 3,600 ounces of MT. Dew for more than a month to have the possibility of Bromine affecting me.

It depends upon the brand and the size. Off brands are cheaper than name brands and larger sizes are usually cheaper per ounce than smaller sizes unless the smaller ones are on sale, which they are regularly.
