What are recommendations for eating at the Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World?

The Best Depends on Your Tastes

First decide if you want to dine with the characters. If so, Cinderella's Royal Table, especially for breakfast, is an excellent option for all-day princess dining. The Crystal Palace features Pooh and friends all day. The Liberty Tree Tavern has character dining in the evening. (Lunch is a la carte without the characters.) To get reservations for character dining, you must call for reservations beginning 180 days in advance.

If you don't care about characters, I suggest counter service. My favorite is Cosmic Ray's in Tomorrowland because diners have a choice of burgers, chicken and sandwiches. Pecos Bill's in Frontierland also has great burgers and a toppings bar with grilled onions and mushrooms. Some people love to try the Turkey Legs, which you can get at a cart in Frontierland.

You will find some WDW guests who love to dis the food at the Magic Kingdom. In my opinion, it has gotten better in recent years.

More recommendations from FAQ Farmers:

  • Disney veterans agree the Magic Kingdom has the worst food of any Disney theme park, which is saying quite a lot. The ambiance is the thing, here. Overpriced food is prepared in mass quantity at central kitchens, and transported to each outlet. The recipes are chosen for logistics, rather than taste appeal. Now that youve been warned, here are the best of the worst, in order:
  • The Liberty Tree Tavern offers hearty family fare with characters. (Updated: Liberty Tree Tavern no longer features characters.)
  • The Crystal Palace on Main Street offers a buffet with Disney Characters. Its a good way for the little ones to get some exposure to Goofy, Mickey and the gang, in an air-conditioned indoor setting. (Updated: Crystal Palace features characters from Winnie the Pooh.)
  • Tonys Town Square on Main Street is a good bet for simple fare in relatively uncrowded surroundings.
  • Cinderellas Royal Table has tiny, crowded tables in a unique location on the second floor of the castle. Like most restaurants with a fabulous view, the food is lousy. Stick to sandwiches and roast turkey. That doesnt seem to bother the dozens of screaming tots who crowd the place during lunch and dinner. Definitely arrange priority seating (call 407-939-3463) before you leave home, if this is a must for you.
  • I've been to Walt Disney World a lot over the years, and in my opinion, it's better to go with fast food at Magic Kingdom. If you eat at a more expensive restaurant, the food usually isn't that great, so just end up wasting a lot of time and money. It's usually just as good to grab some chicken fingers and french fries at some stand in between rides. If you are going to the other parks as well, save your money for the nicer restaurants at Epcot, or better yet, Animal Kingdom. They have excellent food almost anywhere for a reasonable price. However, Magic Kingdom does have a few things to check out for dessert. A personal favorite is the ice cream shop at the end of main street. They make fresh (not packaged) Toll House cookie ice cream sandwiches, with your choice of ice cream as the filling. If you're lucky you can even catch them when the cookies have just come out of the oven. It's definitely worth stopping by.

What is Disney World made of?

Foam and a consistency like really foamy dish soap.

Does Walt Disney World have wifi?

There is a charge for any internet connection (wired or wireless) inside guestrooms. Some of the hotels offer free wifi in public areas such as the lobby and pool. Inside the parks, there is no wifi connectivity for guests.

What is Disney's font called?

Disney's official corporate font is Times (I know, boring).

The letters used for most signs in the park, including the iconic "Old English" style lettering used on the classic Disneyland sign, are hand-drawn, not created using a "font". There are any number of fonts designed to be similar to these, many of which you can download from one of the free font sites on the web.

Did Hercules do something wrong?

Hera forced Ilithyia, a goddess of childbirth, to slow down the birth of Heracles and his twin brother and caused Eurystheus to be born prematurely so that he would be born first and become king. She sent two giant snakes to the chamber of the twins when they were eight months old. She induced a fit of madness into Heracles which made him kill his sons. He guided the oracle of Delphi to direct him to serve king Eurystles and perform all the tasks he asked him. The king gave him ten labour and added two more: the famous twelve labour of Heracles. Hera induced another fit of madness which led him to throwIphitus over the city wall to his death.Iphitus was the brother of a woman she fell in love with and whom he had abducted and his best friend.
