Price of West Highland White Terrier?

White West Higland Terrier (also know as a Westie)

I do not know the exact price for a White West Highland Terrier. It normally depends on were you buy it from, how healthy the dog is, or how much the owner wants to sell for it. I do know that a Westie does shed.Every dog does, but they don't shed much depending on how well you bath and brush them. They also are from 9in. to 12in. tall from what I've read. They also weigh 18 to 22 pounds. I am lookinhg for the price on a Wesite.Cause me and my family wanted to buy one.Once I do if your still looking for your answer I will post it!

I breed Westies, and for a healthy pet-quality puppy with healthy parents and a good pedigree, they can be up to $2000. For a show-quality puppy, you are looking at about $4000, depending on where you get them.

Did a west highland terrier ever won best in breed?

Of course. Best of Breed means winning the "Best dog in the breed" present that day in that particular class. So of course a West Highland would win best dog in the breed as the breed being shown would be all West Highlands. Maybe you meant "Best in Show"? If you do, then yes, Westies have won Best in Show before.

Do westies like being cuddled?

Some do, some don't -- Westies are very much individuals on the cuddle/lap-dog issue. We have a male who adores being cuddled and picked up; other Westies do not. Generally, many Westie fanciers find the males are more affectionate than the females ---but not always. Again, it depends on the individual dog.

What home remedies can help your west highland terrier with bad allergies?

My last westie had severe allergies, and after trying out different remedies we found that cortison was the most effective treatment for her severe skin allergy (at one point she had scratched off ALLher fur). We also had very good results with a drug called "Atopica Vet" (i believe the active ingredient is Ciklospori)
In general we were adviced that cortison would limit her lifespan, she died aged 14 after being on quite high doses of cortison since she was 3 years old.

What are white spots on nipples?

They may be Montgomery tubercles or glands of Montgomery these are sebaceous or oil producing glands located on the areola of the nipple they are ajoined to the hair shaft it is thought that they secrete a lipoid, oil like substance which is thought to have ani-bacterial qualites. They may change due to hormonal changes , puberty or pregnancy. Sometimes ( i think !!) they may secrete a tiny amount of milk during pregnancy. The oil or lipoid substance travels up the hair follicle and is distributed on the skin sometimes due to dead skin cells or blockage there may be a build up that will appear more pronounced which should be left to clear itself whilst you keep the area clean. This substance is also there to keep the areola area moist and alters the pH of the skin and stops bacterial build up, it is to stop cracking of the skin in that delicate area particularly during pregnancy. As i said hormonal changes can affect them. THey are also a sign of early pregnancy so whilst it is possible to have them without being pregnant (and quite normal too) it may be a sign of pregnancy so maybe you should see a doctor. These glands become much more pronounced during pregnancy as the body prepares for breast feeding. If they are very pronounced or painful or you are worried you should see a doctor.

When ironing white clothes i get brown spots what can i do to avoid spots?

These brown spots are the bane of people who iron everywhere. You have scorched the fabric by using an iron that is too hot and leaving the iron in place too long.
