The former Mount McKinley was given that name in 1896 by William Dickey, a gold prospector who felt it was a fitting honor for President McKinley.
In fact, McKinley had nothing to do with the choice (although he didn't oppose it, either) and never visited his namesake peak. For many years Alaskan residents - in particular, its indigenous peoples - lobbied for restoration of the mountain's native name Denali. That occurred in 2015.
The Politics Administration Dichotomy emphasizes that politics and administration are fundamentally different and should be approached as such. It states that public administration is a business field, and should be kept out of the sphere of politics.
Actually, since he was in the Progressive Era of the U.S, he just used regular technology. There was no way for him to improve communications.
Five states were added to the Union during Washington's presidency - North Carolina (1789), Rhode Island (1790), Vermont (1791), Kentucky (1792), and Tennessee (1796).
McKinley didn't think the Filipino's were well educated.
He weighed nearly 200 pounds and was 5' 7 '' tall, so he had a stocky build.
He enjoyed outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, horseback riding and ice skating. As an adult he liked to play euchre and cribbage and go to plays and the opera.
He failed to end the depression in the US. However, because of the Harrison administration of the Sherman Silver Purchase Act of 1890, 4.2 million ounces of silver was purchased every month which dropped the supply of the gold and the inability to restock the gold. Cleveland had attempted to solve the issue by attempting to annul the Silver act and return to the original gold standard.
Cleveland was believed to have been siding with J.P. Morgan, a gold bond seller, and against the people's interests. However, if he did not buy from J.P. Morgan, the gold standard would've decreased as well as the amount of the dollar.
Hope this helps.
Once McKinley was assassinated, Teddy Roosevelt became President.
There were economic depression problems in 1896 especially with farmers. Most blamed the problems on the "gold standard." William Jennings Bryan was pushing for "free silver." At the time, American money was tied to the amount of gold we had in the US treasury. The farmers wanted to be able to borrow money cheaply and pay back loans with inflated money. They felt that adding silver to the gold suppy would help them.

William McKinley Jr. (January 29, 1843 - September 14, 1901) was the 25th President of the United States, and the last veteran of the American Civil War to be elected to the office.
By the 1880s, McKinley was a national Republican leader; his signature issue was high tariffs on imports as a formula for prosperity, as typified by his McKinley Tariff of 1890. As the Republican candidate in the 1896 presidential election, he upheld the gold standard, and promoted pluralism among ethnic groups. His campaign, designed by Mark Hanna, introduced new advertising-style campaign techniques that revolutionized campaign practices and beat back the crusading of his arch-rival, William Jennings Bryan. The 1896 election is often considered a realigning election that marked the beginning of the Progressive Era.
McKinley presided over a return to prosperity after the Panic of 1893. He launched the Spanish-American War, widely popular due to the efforts of the yellow press, using the context of Spanish atrocities in Cuba. Later he annexed the former Spanish territories of the Philippines, Puerto Rico, and Guam, and set up a protectorate over Cuba. He also presided over the annexation of the formerly independent Kingdom of Hawaii. McKinley was reelected in the 1900 presidential election after another intense campaign against Bryan, this one focused on foreign policy. After McKinley's assassination in 1901 by Leon Czolgosz, an American anarchist of Polish descent, he was succeeded by Vice President Theodore Roosevelt.
Won the Spanish American war in less than 4 months.
