yes..I have had many problems with phtodeluxe 3 and 4 on Vista. I can't load this or that..cannot find circle. dll..I used to have that parser issue but that was easily resolved. Suddenly a few weeks back neither would open completely.Just now I tried to use it again. I went to the the photodeluxe "folder" and clicked on the colorful pd4 and it worked. But when I copied it to the desktop, it would not work..so, I went back to the pd4 "sent" it to the desktop and it works fine..at least for the moment. I have photoshop but like many of you agree, it is much more complicated. I wish Adobe would create another photodeluxe program...So many of us love it and would be happy to pay for it..again. But for now, Photodeluxe 4 is working on my vista home premium.

Yes you can install Photodeluxe 4 on Vista Home Premium by doing the normal install then [right click] on Photodeluxe's desktop shortcut, click [Properties], click on the [Compatibility tab] and [checkmark] the open box for [Run this program in compatibility mode] and make sure it is set for Windows XP (Service Pack 2). Click [Apply and OK]. It should now work. Let me know if I helped.

I'm no computer wiz but the easy answer for me was to click on the disc icon or shortcut to disc drive. Click on English, then click on Install, then back click on Setup (16 bit launcher). The last thing you do is click on Run as Administrator. In my case it started loading the PhotoDeluxe 4.0 like there never was a problem. The first time I edited a picture the program ran slow but when I closed it a message came up and now it runs perfectly.

Much faster then on my old PC with Windows XP. The old "scratch disc is full" problem is gone too.

Hold down the Windows key on your keyboard and tap the R key. This opens the Run box. Type in "cmd" and hit Enter. This opens the Command Line window. Type in "shutdown -r -t 00". Your computer will restart immediately. Leave off the "-t 00" if you want it to wait 30 seconds before restarting. Use "shutdown -s" to shutdown fully instead of just restart. Or you can use the "shutdown -l" option to logoff.

In order to change your windows desktop screen go to yahoo or google and type in desktop wallpaper, then find the one you want or try some out maybe see the ones you like, click on one image right click, go to little tab that says set as desktop background. If it fills the whole page great! If it shows a little picture or medium then just click the color you want for background and then there is your awesome desktop picture!

You should be able to select "fax", put the document in the feeder, dial the number you want to fax to, then hit the "start" button.

I have this same problem but only when I run paperport office pro version 9. The problem is solidly repeatable. I thought I found the answer when I went to the advanced system parameters through right click on my computer, and changed the pagefile size. The problem went away for a few days but then came back. I have reloaded the program several times but the problem is the same all the time.

Windows Vista is an operating system, not an application. It does not run "on" Windows 7 so it cannot be said to be "compatible" with it. Drivers and applications written for Windows Vista will continue to work on Windows 7. The reverse may not necessarily be true. Vista and 7 use the same kernel, so there shouldn't be anything that doesn't work on 7 that works on Vista, but compatibility mode should fix most problems you would have.
