How can one access files on a CD when unable to take ownership of the drive?
More Details: I have recently borrowed a CD and would like to listen to it on my computer. However, whenever I attempt to access the files, it says "access denied". I figured that this is due to not having ownership of the object and have tried multiple ways to reassign ownership to myself, each time though it says something along the lines of "unable to change ownership" or "access denied". First, I tried going through the advanced ownership settings through properties when clicking on the drive and then I tried running Windows Command Processor as an administrator and using the takeown/ command, but both did not work. I have heard that installing Linux does not acknowledge Window's ownership settings and am considering trying that next. If anyone has any way for me to change the ownership, or even better access the files without having the change the ownership, it would be much appreciated. I just really want to listen to David Bowie, thanks!

If you by a headset with a mic it will also allow you to record audio with the ability to edit more quickly and easily with less static or the chance of the analog connector being damaged.

Some do, but most don't. If a laptop has only 2 audio jacks, they're usually a stereo line output and a mono microphone input (mono only because a microphone normally has a mono plug; the input goes to both channels of the sound card). But if it has 3 audio jacks, that 3rd one is usually a stereo line input. Toshiba and Ac er are two brands I know of that often have a line input jack. I've heard rumors that built in sound cards in laptops have poor audio quality. I don't know if that's true (I probably wouldn't be able to tell, anyway), but maybe that's why a lot of them don't bother with a line input. So if high sound quality is important to you, and compactness isn't, then you might end up buying the external USB sound card even if you get a laptop with 3 inputs. One example of an external USB sound card is Creative Labs "Sound blaster Live!" ($45 at Tiger Direct). I have the older, lower sound quality model that preceded it, and I like it a lot. I use it to record mp3 files from my old Lap's.

To create a new folder in Windows 7, simply right click on the desktop, or when you are saving the file, opt to create a new folder within the group you are saving it to. If you see a zippered file, that means your file needed to be unzipped, or decompressed, with an unzipping software such as Winzip.

First, I'd try scanning with the system file checker.
Go to start -> type in cmd. Right click on the cmd.exe result and hit 'Run as Administrator'. Type sfc /scannow and the windows system file checker will scan all important windows files, including most dlls. If it detects and error, restart your computer. Then, try starting AoE3 again.
Next, You might try registering the dll. (Though I don't think this will work; the error sounds like it's loading the dll but has an issue once it gets it loaded.)
