Is Poe access point or powered access point recommended?

I have had very good luck with both. It depends on your need and configuration.

In the server rooms we had all powered equipment, in several outlying locations (within the building) we added POE hubs or switches simply to avoid clutter or extra cabling.

Suppose a user on your office network has changed the channel on which his wireless NIC. Assuming the wireless connection is his only access to the lan What will happen when he tries to send an email?

The e-mail program will respond with a message indicating it could not connect to the mail server.

Some people will dispute this by saying that you cannot change the channel on a wireless NIC. A normal user would not make that change, but it can be done and I actually do it frequently. I do wireless security audits and frequently lock my NIC to only scan a certain channel that I am interested in.

How do you hook up two wireless router on the same network with both routers located in different rooms?

You have to choose which router is the main one. After that you can configure second router to create "bridge" with the main one.

It's better if you have both routers of the same manufacture and model. Many routers even so can be configured for "bridge" usually do not work with different models and manufactures.

What is Crossbar Switches and Multistage switch in Space Division Switch?

BOTH CROSSBAR AND MULTISTAGE SWITCHES COMES UNDER CIRCUIT SWITCH(USE IN SWITCHING AT DATALINK LAYER OF WIDE AREA NETWORK(WAN)).AGAIN CIRCUIT SWITCH IS DIVIDED INTO TWO TYPES:1.SPACE DIVISION

2.TIME DIVISION

SPACE DIVISION has two parts i:e crossbar and multistage switches.crossbar switch-A crossbar switch connects n inputs to m outputs in a grid, using electronic micro switches(transistors) at each crosspoint. To connect n inputs to m outputs using a crossbar switch requires n*m crosspoints. The major limitation of this design is the no of crosspoints required.for example:To connect 1000 inputs to 1000 outputs requires a switch with 1.000,000 crosspoints.A crossbar switch with this no of crossspoints is impractical.such a switch is also inefficient because statistics show that,in practice, fewer than 25% of the crosspoints are in use at any given time. The rest are idle.multistage switch-The solution to limitation of the crossbar switch is the multistage switch, which combines crossbar switches in several(normally three)stages. In a single crossbar switch, only one row and one coloumn is active for any connection.so we need n*n crosspoints. If we can allow multiple paths inside the switch ,we can decrease the no of crosspoints. Each crosspoints in the middle stage can be accessed by multiple crosspoints in the first or third stage. The multistage switch has one drawback-blocking during periods of heavy traffic. The whole idea of multistage switching is to share the crosspoints in the middle stage crossbars.

Are wireless routers directional?

AFAIK routers are omni-directional. Though these days its not uncommon to buy routers with detachable ariels. So it wouldn't be a big deal to hook up a cantenna.

Does this printer have wireless capability?

You don't give a model number. Most recent (last year or so) computers would have wireless abilities.

You should be able to go to the manufacturer's website and look up the model number.

Does hp 5750 have WiFi built in?

Some versions of HP Compaq dc5750 Business PCs have been equipped with A+G PCI WiFi adapter.

What will happen if you enable both wireless and lan connection?

They will both work. I would imagine the interrupt levels will determine which one will intercept the traffic from a request first. i.e browser, explorer, ping Any request made through one adapter will receive back to the same adapter. That is to say - if you make a browser request to the internet and it goes out on the wired adapter, it will come back to that same adapter. The end-to-end addressing is in the message traffic, and whatever adapter address (MAC address) is passed outbound will be in the addressing in the incoming message, and consequently go to that (MAC) address. I would think if the wired adapter is busy and you made a request, the request would be honored by the wireless adapter, and the answer would come back to that adapter. I believe it would also look to be simultaneous, even though that is a tricky concept, considering it's all serial to and through the modem/gateway.

How do you turn on my wireless capability on my laptop Its a VAIO PCG7134M is that helps?

There should be a switch on the side somewhere. Then there may be something about pressing the function key & the F button that has what looks like a pole on it (F8 on my Toshiba). If that doesn't work, try the troubleshooting.
