No you cannot tell difference between male wolves and female wolves by fur,but you can tell by looking at the heads of the animals,the male is bigger over all plus a male has a rougher appearance than females, females are more feminine looking in that their overall appearance is more feminine!

All I can tell you is that wolves are descendants of dire wolves. Dire wolves lived when there were saber tooth tigers.

Wolves cannot get all the nutrients they really need from what little value fish offers. If a lone wolf cannot kill anything in the territory, whether it be it is too fast for the wolf, or the loner needs the effort of the pack to take it down, it will eat or catch fish, or mice, or even berries.

well it depends on where they are and what the weather is like. They will sleep in the open, bunched together, separated, under a tree, on the edge of the water, in a cave, on some rocks, sometimes on a log (they rest their head on it and sleep) on each other. it all depends. their rank is also extremely important. the alpha pair will usually sleep together while the omega sleeps alone during the summer.

A wolf pack is formed because two wolves decide to mate with each other, and form a pack. They find territory and claim it, sometimes they pick up stray wolves that do not have a mate, and the two mates will usually have pups. Those two are the "alphas" of the pack.

Alphas are a term no longer used generally in wolf behavioral studies as said above the wolf pack is, basically, a family. Alpha implies active struggles for dominance which is not really seen in packs of related animals with the wolves high degree of social structure.

Werewolves generally live alone in the wild. Due to their extreme temper and violent nature it is not a good idea for werewolves to live together, lest they wish to get attacked. That being said, werewolves have been seen working together in extreme cases to hunt for food, although such sightings are rare.

The survival of wolves depends on the pack as a whole. It takes the team of them to bring down prey to eat and it takes the pack to watch after young wolves who are sometimes the future of the pack. Yes, they are a sub species of grey wolf and I saw one in OR in the southern part, and was told they have wild packs though few still exist in an area south of Diamond Lake and Crater Lake. Locals told me about a woman who had a pack of these shaggy creatures and she set them free. Now it seems they are often seen and locals prefer to not talk about them to keep the whereabouts secrete. The one I saw was at a sanctuary in southern OR and he was brought out for us to see and touch his long shaggy coat.

A wolf pup weighs only 1 pound when born. They are also totally blind and deaf at birth. This is one of many reasons for having the parents and other pack members complete attention. Babysitting duty is very serious business. After 2 months of constant feeding and attention from their parents and the pack, they are taken out of the den. There they play and gradually learn the important skills of hunting and communication with all members of the pack.

well you see we don't really eat greyhounds because that would just be mean... but i think it would be all bones and meat!
