Yes, zoos do protect animals. If they were out in the wild many wouldn't have any chance of surviving. But in zoos their food, water, any supplements, or shots they need are brought to them. Any medical attention they need is available for them. They are usually cared for and have enough room to move, play, and many times they are given "enrichment toys and food". Plus they are protected from their predators, and babies abandoned are hand reared. Almost all zoos protect the animals from the visitors too, not allowing the guests to harass them, throw things at them, or be too loud, or taunt the animals. It's not always perfect or ideal, but as a general rule, most zoos that are accredited, or certified do try to protect and care for their animals.

The word zoo is defined as a park or an institution where animals are kept, studied, bred and exhibited for public viewing. You can have as many kinds of zoos as animals. Zoo's can contain just mammals, fish, reptiles, domestic, wild, and the list goes on.

One would not say that an elephant's natural habitat is a ZOO, for example. Ask yourself, are there animals that are only ever found living in a zoo? If not, then it is not a habitat in the strictest sense. The same logic goes for farms and aquariums.

There really isn't any parking at all at the Central Park Conservatory. The Central Park Conservatory is a part of Central Park, and Central Park is surrounded by city streets. It doesn't have a parking lot or anything like that. If you can find a parking space, then you can park on the street outside the entrance to the Conservatory (which would be 5th Avenue at 105th Street), but there is no reserved parking for people going to the Conservatory.

I was able to find a list of parking garages around Central Park, but most of them are relatively far away. The closest one I could find was on 94th Street between 3rd and 2nd Avenues. That is about a mile away from the entrance to the Conservatory.

If by 'right' you mean nutritional and healthful foods, then obviously yes.

If, however, you mean the foods the animals would eat in their natural habitat, then often the answer is no. For one thing, not all food plants grow in all parts of the world; and few zoo-goers would want carnivorous animals (such as big cats and bears) to chase down live prey for their meals.
