The scientific name for Dwarf Gouramis is Trichogaster lalius.
The "blue" Dwarf Gourami (Colisa lalia) is sexed the same way as all Dwarf gouramis. The male is brightly coloured and the female is much plainer.
Molly fish do not lay eggs. They are livebearers and give birth to fry fish. If there are eggs in an aquarium with Molly fish, then they belong to another fish.
Well, it depends on their size. From what I've heard, you can put one inch of fish into a tank per gallon, so: 5 one inch fishes of 1 five inch fish etc. It doesn't matter about the fish unless some are aggressive and the others are not.
No... the angel fish as babies will be fine with guppies, but as they get older and bigger, the will become more aggressive and will eat anything that it can get to.
Very often this type of behavior means that there is not enough Oxygen is the water for their Gills to process. Yhey come to the top and GULP air.
You should have a bubbler introducing Oxygen into the water to help solve this problem. Real Plants in the tank also help to Oxygenate the water.
Danios live for about 3-5 years. Try to get a group of danios that are the same size.
You cant cross breed fish that are different species unless theyre really really closely related, like swordtails and platies. To breed them just put a male and a female together and hope that they breed.
Oscars are tough buggers and get pretty big the only thing that could kill a full grown Oscar is age or you. If you want to get rid of it which hopefully this is not why you asked the question just call a small chain or family owned pet store they will usually take it.
There is no species of dolphin called "Blue Dolphin", despite the book "Island of the Blue Dolphins." but there are blue whales
well they keep breeding while there is a female in the tank and the water conditions are right. you should get at least 1 male and 3 or 4 females or 2 males and 3 or 4 females. you want to get more females than males so the males dont harrass the female. the female can often give birth 3 to 6 times without having to breed again. I remember when my male and this one female bred together and soon after her second birth the male died and she gave birth about 4 more times.then a few months her last birth she dissapeared. Anyway its about 2-3 weeks between births so if your platy is pregnant I hope this helps and good luck!!!!
Yes I'm fairly certain. I have 1cardinal and 4 neons and they all swim together...
no chance they find their own companion and breed this can be done only scientifically at laboratory levels
A reasonably well grown angelfish used to be over 6 inches high. Many of those "fancy types" available now are so badly inbred that they are lucky to reach 4 or 5 inches high.
Fish of the family Poecilidae, yes that includes Mollies, don't have the mouths to cause serious damage to each other, or other fish. They can peck at each other, but the worst that could happen is a guppy with a small rip in the tail. They can, however, eat fry. Fish of the family Poecilidae will spend more time showing off and "pushing" each other with their tails than actually fighting.
Angelfish are compatible with:
They can usually live with eels, crab and, shrimp but not always.
The size of the Angelfish does not matter.
There are several cichlids that come under the general name of Mbuna. I believe they are all fairly large fish growing to around 7 or 8 inches . A large tank is required as is very alkaline, hard water.
From birth. All you need to do is grind up normal livebearer food to a size small enough for the fry to eat. As the fry get bigger so the food they eat can increase in size too.
There are many similarities between angelfish and goldfish- to name one angelfish and fancy goldfish (especially the oranda) both have several long delicate fins.
Tetra is a type of a freshwater fish, usually colorful, and is native to America and Africa, and they are also popular in aquariums. Or, Tetra can be a form of combining (as in Chemistry)
