the knock sensor is on the rear of the motor next to fire wall. you need to pull the engine struts and tilt the motor forward and look with a mirror on the passenger side lower 1\2 of motor, it has one wire goin to it. brass colored. under exhaust manifold.
Should be by the alternator in the back
It is screewed into the passenger side of the engine, just in front of the starter.
how can i change the turn singal on a 1990 Chevy lumina
Location of knock sensor 1991 GM sierra 350 2500?
There is no "knock sensor" on a 4.0L engine
Probably not, but it will certainly cost in fuel, performance and excessive emissions.
The 1991 Chevy Lumina is fuel injected and has no carburetor.
Here's a link to a schematic and instructions on replacing the coolant sensor (from the Auto Zone website) http://www.autozone.com/shopping/repairGuide.htm?pageId=0900c15280067b92 Good luck!
It is located right above the starter for a 5.7l V8, not sure for the 4.3 or 5.0, probably the same place
Make SURE the engine is COLD. Then unscrew the old sensor and install the new one. Antifreeze will leak out of the engine so be quit when replacing it.
