How do you keep paint on wood siding?

Short answer -- you do not: stain is preferred over wood siding because it is more easily touched up or repaired in later years. New paint on new wood requires a primer, thus at least two coats overall (primer and colour coat), sometimes three: and repair of cracked or blistered old paint requires sanding down to bare wood, and then primer and new colour coat to match. By contrast, stain needs no primer and old stain can be easily touched up, i.e. a new patch featured into the surrounding old stain.

This doctrine is partly theoretical, and the old theory was that (oil) paint formed a waterproof skin over the wood (bonded to it by the primer) whereas stain penetrated into the wood surface -- hence different repair techniques. The gradual disappearance of oil paint (and oil-based stains) and improvement of latex/alkyd paints means the chemistry of these two products nowadays overlaps. But it seems still generally true that, for wood siding after say five years' weathering, stain finish can be restored to look new for much less labour than paint finish can be restored to look new.

Where is san venganza?

Well, the best guess would be in southwest Texas, somewhere along the Rio Grande'. This is based upon the following assumptions: the biggest part of the Ghost Rider movie takes place in Texas, primarily in the DFW metro area (the movie never says which city it takes place in, but you see plenty of Don't Mess with Texas signs, and other tip offs), and in the novelization of the movie, it out and out says that Johnny Blaze's loft is in Fort Worth and he is arrested by Dallas PD. When Blaze and Carter Slade ride towards San Veganza, they are headed into a much dryer looking part of the state, which would preclude Eastern Texas and even the Houston area. Also, in the preface to the GR novel, San Veganza was stated to be a former Spanish fort that was later settled by Anglo immigrants from the US, so this would seem to keep it in Texas. There are several lakes around the South West part of Texas, but no ghost towns, and the extensive bog that Johnny has to ride through to get to San Veganza would seem to indicate that there was enough water there to keep a permanent level for a bog or swamp around the town.

In reality, most of the swamps in Texas are along the Texas/Louisiana state line, but a real swamp in Australia, where they shot the GR movie, was the inspiration for the site of San Veganza.

What is the address to the bexar county courthouse?

The address of the Bexar County (Texas) Courthouse is 100 Dolorosa Street, San Antonio, TX 78205. It may also be known as the Bexar County Justice Center, which is different than the Cadena-Reeves Justice Center located at 300 Dolorosa Street, San Antonio.

The Bexar County Courthouse houses most of Bexar County's district courts, Bexar County Constitutional Court, several County Courts, and the county Probate Courts. There are, however, several other locations in Bexar County that hear cases, so if you are trying to figure out where to go for a particular case, it is best to check whether Bexar County Courthouse houses the court you are looking for. For a directory of all the courts in Bexar County, visit the Bexar County Court Guide related link.

What use to repair hole in hardie plank siding?

The easiest way to repair a hole in Hardie siding or any even interior walls with sheetrock is to first make a slightly larger hole that is perfectly round. Then make a plug from a scap piece of the same material that is slightly larger. With Hardie panel the plug should be about 1/16" larger and with sheetrock make the plug about 1/8" larger than the hole.

The easiest way to do this is with one of the Hole Pro adjustable hole cutters with their tungsten carbide cutting blades as they make it easy to both make the perfectly round hole at the size that is needed and to also make the oversize plug that you need as well. What you do is allow for the width of the cut made by the blades which is about 1/8" when making the plug.

If you are repairing a large hole (3" or larger) it may be necessary to use a backing strip of wood that bridges the hole and provides support for the plug. The main thing is to have the circumference of the hole and the plug neat and snug. With these repairs I usually get by with a single coat of paint and the patch is virtually invisible to the eye.

The end result is a snug plug that is easy to then paint and you have the same weather and fire proofing characteristics with the plug as you have for the rest of the wall which is important. And outside any temperature induced expansion is not going to disrupt the plug and your repair.

Can suspended ceiling be installed on an angle?

Yes a suspended ceiling can be installed at a reasonable angle.

Please note that the closer to vertical the harder it is to place the panels in the grid.

There is also greater difficulty in installing the grid. When the grid is horizontal a simple level is all that is required to insure proper installation. If installed on an angle other more advanced method are required.

Because all 3 edges are working against each other - generally with equal force. This means that the constant forces holding the triangle together are always even, hence the sides won't move.
