I'm not an expert but from my experience I was diagnosed with moderate dysplasia, which eventually got upgraded to severe dysplasia after removal of the cells. Whether biting and chewing the side of your mouth can lead to cancer, I hope others will give their input. However, I can see where it might lead to infection (depending how deep). Still, I believe you should be asking yourself why you are biting, tearing, and chewing perfectly good mouth tissue that is there to serve a purpose. It may be just a bad habit, or maybe something that goes deeper. You should consult a health care professional for advice. Anyway you look at it, pulling apart your skin is not a good idea.
