What is ultimately the original source of all energy here on Earth?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

== == There is a choice of two answers, and which one depends on whether you believe the universe was either created by a 'Big Bang' via Evolution, or by God via Special Creation. (1) Traditional Science says it was the 'Big Bang', defined scientifically as : All the energy that ever was or ever existed or ever will exist all in one place at the same exact micro-micro-second of time. Every atom of every cell of every living thing everywhere in the universe all in one spot.
(A non-scientific definition of the Big Bang is "in the beginning there was nothing, and then it exploded".)
(2) Traditional Christianity says it was all originally created by the God of the Bible:-
Gen 1:1 " In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."
(Note that this same creator in Genesis is also Jesus Christ [actually the pre-incarnate Jesus Christ] ie Jesus is God:-)
Col 1:16-17 KJV "For by him [Jesus Christ] were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: [v. 17] And he [Jesus Christ] is before all things, and by him all things consist [or, "are held together" WEB Bible]. One of the reasons some may not accept the traditional science explanation is because it is seen as a violation of two basic laws of science, the First and Second Laws of Thermodynamics. These are defined in the Penguin 'Dictionary of Science' Reference Book as:- The First Law of Thermodynamics (sometimes called the Law of The Conservation of Energy) says that matter can be neither created nor destroyed. The Second Law of Thermodynamics (sometimes called the Law of Entropy) says that heat cannot be transferred from a colder to a hotter body. Or, since the 'entropy' of a system is a measure of its disorder, stated in terms of 'entropy' it is that the entropy, or disorder, of a closed system increases with time. (Note: This increasing entropy can be increasingly seen in the environment and weather of today).
From this, it can be seen that there are two clear choices, both of which are incompatible with each other. Since the adherents of either view hold that they alone are completely right and the others are utterly wrong, consequently some authorities avoid the issue by teaching that the ultimate source of all energy here on earth is the Sun, and then leave it up to the individual to decide where the Sun itself came from.

Perhaps greater emphasis would be placed on living a fulfilling life in the present.

How did the supercontinent change to seven continents in the time of the dinosaurs?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

The breakup of the supercontinent Pangaea began around 200 million years ago during the Mesozoic era, leading to the formation of distinct landmasses that eventually became the seven continents we recognize today. Tectonic plate movements caused by processes like seafloor spreading and subduction gradually separated the landmasses. This process continued over millions of years, shaping the Earth's current continental configuration.

What does a lightning bolt brand symbolize?

User Avatar

Asked by Wiki User

Most people that have one single Lightning Bolt as a tattoo are fans of the National Football League (American football) San Diego Chargers whose team logo is a single lightning bolt.

I agree that the answer about FEAR and strokes is completely inaccurate. While they may be justified answers for some questions it is not for this question

That is complete bull. i have 3 lightning bolt tattoos and they can represent a series of things. mine represents white power and strength as a person but it can also mean any of these things too: -mainly white power. and derogatory racism -it can mean power of the gods -self power, strength, and control -it can also represent the SS symbol used in Nazi Germany. the Nazi SS looks like a lightning bolt if you connect the top and bottom to make one. look up the SS and it will make more sense, that also is where the white power meaning came from because of the racism used in Nazi Germany.... that makes way more sense too.

___________________________________________________________________________________

a lightning bolt represents FEAR. because lightning follows thunder; which is loud and scary. so having a lightning bolt tattoo must symbolize something along the line of one consisting of fear.

The lightening bolt is also a symbol for a Stroke (Strokes, or brain attacks, are a major cause of death and permanent disability. They occur when blood flow to a region of the brain is obstructed and may result in death of brain tissue.)

It is a tough thing for not only the victim but the families and friends of the victims. Sometimes they come out the same, and other times they could have permanent disabilities.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thunder actually follows lightning because the speed of light is faster than the speed of sound (speed of light being 299,792,458 miles per second, speed of sound being approximately 340.29 miles per second at sea level). However, lightning and thunder are often associated with each other and therefore could potentially still achieve the symbolic connotation of fear.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Double lighting bolts are the symbol of the SS, Hitler's special forces. White supremacist gangs often tattoo this symbol on themselves.

______________________________________________________________________

Lightning bolts can symbolize anything from strength to unpredictability.

Lightning actually travels at approx 300,000 km/sec, while sound is 343m/sec. And IMHO Lightning can mean whatever you want it to be as a tattoo. The letter M does not signify Miles, it signifies Metres!
It could symbolize anything, but most recently lightning bolt tattoos have been a tribute to harry potter. But remember lightning is also associated with speed ("fast as lightning"), anger, fear, power, nature, electricity (cutesy tattoo for an electrician)...really, anything.
The meaning of a certain tattoo will vary from person to person, there is no definite answer to this question.-Shocker
