When did people start graffiti?
Graffiti is defined by the Encyclopedia Britannica as "a form of visual communication, usually illegal, involving the unauthorized marking of public space by an individual or group. Although the common image of graffiti is a stylistic symbol or phrase spray-painted on a wall by a member of a street gang, some graffiti is not gang-related. Graffiti can be understood as antisocial behaviour performed in order to gain attention" It is also a form of art.
Using this loose definition I would say graffiti has been around as long as man. We used to paint on the walls of caves as part of our spirituality, and chipped designs in rock faces as a means of communicating our presence to others.
Admittedly ancient man didn't have laws to protect or even the concept of "private" ownership of space, but I'm thinking the "need" to "make our mark" has been with us since the dawn of man.
Elements and principles of design?
Elements of Design:
1. Line: A visual element that defines the shape, creates structure, or guides the eye.
2. Shape: Enclosed two-dimensional areas created by lines or other elements.
3. Color: The visual perception of different wavelengths of light, which can evoke emotions and convey messages.
4. Texture: The tactile or visual quality of a surface, which adds depth and interest to a design.
5. Value: The relative lightness or darkness of a color or tone, providing contrast and dimension.
Principles of Design:
1. Balance: The distribution of visual weight in a design to create a sense of equilibrium.
2. Contrast: The arrangement of opposite elements (such as light and dark, large and small) to create visual interest and emphasize differences.
3. Emphasis: The focal point or center of interest in a design that captures attention and guides the viewer's gaze.
4. Unity: The harmonious arrangement of elements, creates a sense of cohesion and completeness.
5. Movement: The suggestion of motion or the flow of visual elements, guiding the viewer's eye through the design.
Solution: These elements and principles serve as fundamental guidelines for designers to create appealing, effective, and cohesive designs in various mediums and disciplines.
If you are looking for the basics for an artist's pencil case...
Start with a good set of drawing pencils. One each of 6B, 4B, and 2B for shading, blending and "soft work". An HB for general drawing. One each 2H and 4H for fine, sharp lines.
Next you'll need a good sharper with either a reservoir or a separate tin to hold the shavings, and a couple of types of erasers. A good hard white eraser and a gum ( or kneaded) eraser will do.
Three to five blending stumps of various sizes are very helpful as is a piece of white felt (about 2 inches square) these save you from having to blend with your fingers - which gets messy and tends to "dirty up" the rest of your sketches.
There are other items that will help you as your abilities develop, such as an erasing shield, a set of basic coloured pencils, a very fine tipped felt drawing pen, a magnifying glass and a pair of polarized sunglasses, but these do not have to be in the "basic" set.
If you are looking for things to put into a basic school pencil case...
Then I suggest: 4 HB pencils, an eraser, a pencil sharpener, 2 black, 2 blue and 1 red pen. (other colours as you desire), a set of basic coloured pencils, a geometry set (with ruler, protector, compass etc.), a mini stapler and staple remover, a roll of transparent tape (with dispenser), grommets for repairing the holes in binder paper, and a hair comb & scrunchies (just in case).

Who is the greatest drawer in the world?
Improved answer by ILoveShadouge118:

No one in fact in the world is a "best drawer"
People in themselves have different styles and Techniques of drawing.
Though some people might be a bit more "skilled" at drawing.
For example.. I'm only 12 and i find myself quite good at drawing.
For my age.
And it depends how long you have been drawing for.
(like if you had been drawing for.. maybe a week, and you can draw a full masterpiece. Is quite miraculous)
And what age you are. (varies... doesn't ALWAYS apply)
SO there is no "best" drawer in the world.
Everyone CAN draw.
Early man would draw on cave walls using charcoal (burnt sticks) and other materials. These drawings would record and explain events like a hunt or a battle. These are the first known drawings.
Batik is a process that makes designs on fabric. Was prevents certain areas from taking the dye so that you can create a variety of designs. The method is to cover areas that you want to resist the dye with wax, and then dye the fabric. This can be repeated as often as you like.
Think of the room as the inside of a box.
Make sure that the lines that delineate the tops and bottoms of the walls
lock in with your one or two vanishing points.
What is the Benefits and limitations of perspective drawing?
The revolution in painting that occurred during the Italian Renaissance was the realistic representation of 3D objects on a 2D surface. Masaccio (early 15th century) was one of the first painters to use perspective, known as linear or scientific perspective, for the space and proportion for the human body. Later in the 15th century, Leon Battista Alberti, an architect and writer, codified (formulated) the rules for linear or one-point perspective. When using the techniques of linear perspective, an artist must imagine his canvas as a window or glass pane. Then, the real world must be projected backward to the viewer's eye and sketched or drawn on the canvas. Parallel lines, right angles, and equal lengths are drawn to look realistic, although they are not actually accurate. In this Web Inquiry, you will be studying some of the basic principles of this technique as you examine famous paintings that make use of these methods. yeah To make more realistic impression.

What does Orthographic drawing mean?
An orthographic drawing is one that uses a sort of perspective that does not portray an object the way it would look in a natural space. It shows each side of the object as flat and parallel to the "picture plane." It's not too unlike cubism. (Braque and Picasso explored drawing people and object by showing all sides at once.)
This is used in order to give accurate engineering/mathematical dimensions. It is used for the fabrication of mechanical parts, furniture...
What does secondary source observational drawing mean?
this is when you draw an object in front of you, not from a secondary source like a photograph, and draw excactly what you see without changing anything. Observational drawing appears less flat than drawing from a secondary source. You cannot do observatinal drawing unless the object i in front of you!
Was ths helpful?
The official definition for the word observational is "experimental: relying on observation or experiment; "experimental results that supported the hypothesis""

Why would building professionals prefer multiview drawings over pictorial drawings?
A pictorial drawing presents the figure or object as a 3D image (the view of height, width, and depth). A multiview drawing presents each section or a certain view of the figure (for example : the top view, the front view, and the side view).
Put them in a wooden or plastic pencil-case if they are to be carried inside a shoulder-bag or satchel. Or stand them in a upright container on your desk (point upwards) when not in use. Avoid dropping pencils as the jolt could break the lead inside the pencil.
Why does a drawing pin must have a sharp point?
I think its because the point has a small surface area which makes it easier to press down on.
p=F/A pressure=force/area (the area is small, you do not need as much pressure)
hope this helps
if u need to double check
What is the procedure for reporting lost or damaged drawings and documents?
always have back up of the document you silly badgers!
What types of documentation are used and how do they interrelate in production drawings?
Drawingis the art of creating images in or on a given surface (paper, wood, the ground, etc.) using a specific tool (pen, pencil, knife, your finger, etc.).
One type of drawing is "pencil sketching." This is when someone uses a tool (usually a pencil or charcoal) on paper and creates brief works of art on the paper, creating images either from their imagination, or as reacreations of observed subjects (a tree, a person, an animal, a flower, etc.).
Another type of drawing is "landscape". Here, the artist observs his or her surroundings (outside) and makes a likeness of the landscape on their paper. Landscape drawing can be done with any tool, and on any surface.
There are many types of drawing, but another one is portrait drawing. This is where an artist observs another person, and creates a likeness of the person on their paper. In many instances, just the head is drawn, but in others, often it will be a bust (the head and shoulders), or a full-body portrait. Portraits can be done using any type of tool desired.
it all depends
A wooden pencil (or graphite pencil) lasts for as long as you need it to. The purpose really is important relating the lifespan of said pencil; if you were to draw plenty of dark areas or you just need to press harder for specific areas, the pencil will not last as long as one used for drawing a lighter image or sketching.
A pencil's lifespan also depends on the length of said pencil. Understandably, one brand can vary from another, so if you buy a longer length pencil, it should obviously last you a little longer.
The average pencil, dependent on frequent or daily use, should last approximately between a couple of weeks or about two months in retaliation to how frequent you use it.
