It actually works better if you are showing you like him, but of course not all romantic all at once. My advice, slowly become his friend. Once you get into the habit of behaving differently you will see that it just feels better and people will enjoy having you as part of the group. Once you develop some true friendships you will have someone to talk to privately when you really have a problem and need advice.

Hon, I don't think you are the type of girl that just fell off the last turnip truck, but, I have to say, wake up and smell the coffee! The magic word is "ex." No matter if there is a distance between you or not if two people truly love each other then they can over-come anything and that includes distance. What about men that went off to war? After years most of the men came back to their wives, so a distance such as yours and for such a short time doesn't ever fit into the comparison of true love such as these couples have endured.
