What if someone wants to fight you but you dont want to tell on her?
As always there is no absolute answer. As far as I can see in your situation, I'll give you a few options
Don't fight with her. If it's a close friend, ask why she wants to fight and find methods to resolve it if you want to avoid violence. For example, talking in a public area where you're less likely to make a scene. Keep a calm face and at the least, fake pretend that you are holding the reins of the conversation. Can be applied to most situations (because it's vague).
Fight. In this situation anything can go. If you are beaten to a pulp, weigh your chances and if the pros outweigh the cons, go ahead and tell. If it escalates to something more than just fighting, in example attempted murder, TELL, well tell if you value life. If you don't, someone does and look at it this way, if you don't value your life, someone else has a better use for you.
If you end up beating them up... you did good. If they started the fight come in from the point of self defense and testify that she started it. Whether or not you guys may still hold resent towards each other is up to your attitudes, but if you act as the higher man you're bound to get somewhere.

i just wanted to be able to write abit more about my situation with this guy, so you guys can perhaps help me a little more.
well i have known him years, and ages ago, i kinda of liked him, but it wasent anything special. hes a hands on friend where he would hug you all the time, even if he was with his girlfriend. as i said. very confident.
when he first got with his girlfriend, i noticed some change in him, and he wasent the same guy anymore, but i let it pass thinking it was a phase, and it was.
so as i started speaking to him like my best friend again, we became really close, and the past few days, have been some what confusing. as i said, he hugs all his friends alot, but lately when he has hugged me, we would have gone on a walk (like per usual) and stopped to hug, he would hug me from behind, and it just made me feel so safe and secure, in my opinion it felt like so much more than what he had given me before.
and we always sit round the corner from his house, which is pretty private, and were so close to kissing its unbelievable, but i stop myself, and i really hate myself for doing so, but he has a girlfriend, and he is not one to cheat, and im not one to allow him to cheat.
im just so confused, hes always been a best friend of mine, and even if we did date if he broke up with his girlfriend, there would ALWAYS be friendship after it, that's how strong we are.
