I ask myself this question every day. To be honest, I really don't know the answer. I guess it's because you felt so strongly for the person. You woke up every morning knowing that seeing them would make the rest of your day perfect. Realising that they were the only person you could ever dream of being with, and even though you may never be what they want or need, you still keep hoping hat one day they would feel the same. I think it's hard because you can't come to terms with the fact that you loved them and they didn't love you in return. I guess I just answered my own question too. Maybe now I can move on as well?
ha, i remember that time i had the same issue. Mums should know that kids need to grow up, and a sleep over is a high social concept that most kids go through. In other words, it needs to happen sooner or later, so why wait. Promise to not be too loud and also remind her how happy it will make you :)

It is inappropriate to make any type of gesture that would make someone else feel uncomfortable. Straight men are not going to find you attractive after you give them chocolates, flowers, and/or a card any more than a gay man would find a woman attractive after receiving gifts.
Save both your friend and yourself some embarrassment and buy him a beer (or some other appropriate straight friend gift if either of you can't drink for whatever reason).
Personally, I'd keep talking to him. Don't make him uncomfortable but keep talking to him when you do see him. Maybe he will change his mind. And remember, always follow your heart It doesn't matter if it IS childish, it certainly seems like a good idea to stay away from that kind of guy. He's probably suffering under the delusion that makes him think that he's "too cool". If you leave him alone you'll be better off. Understand that if you don't show interest in him he might find you irresistable. But now that you know what he's like, you can recognize him for what he is and maybe find a guy who is far more worthy of you. Ignoring him is still putting too much energy into the guy. Just nod his way and pass him by. You have more to do in life!

A person who displays jealous behavior when not warranted is insecure, mistrustful, and possessive of the one they claim to love. But true love is also about trust - if you truly love someone then you trust them unless/until they give you reason not to.
Well when you say something hurtfull people will be either sad or would love you even more (parents do that sometimes and then there are those who eternally want to fix other ppl). You hurt her feelings and since she's not obsessed with you and is confident enough to go out and find someone else, she left you (hopefully for good). She probably doesn't want to contact mutual friends since she doesn't want to have anyone or anything around her that remind her of you (she must really hate you). People are tough but everyone has their breaking points and its pretty clear you broke her. Don't make the same mistake with the next woman in your life.
