What is the purpose of a line agency?
Line agencies carry out government policies and provide services.
This is different than a staff agency, which includes groups like The Office of the President and The National Security Council.

The median would be the single middle number, as the numerical values are put from least to greatest. Since there is an even number of numerical values, the median will be the sum of the two middle numbers, divided by 2. Therefore, the median is -2 + (-1) / 2 = -3/2
That was probably really confusing. So heres an example: Say you had the coordinates (1,1) and (2,2). If you connected these two points on a graph, the slope (m) would be 1/1, which reduces to 1. This is because from the first point, (1,1), you have to go up one and over one to the right to get to the next point, (2,2).
So that's how you find the slope. To find the y-intercept, you just look on the y-axis at where the line crosses it. In this example, the line happens to cross at 0. The y and x are simply just the coordinates. In the example (1,1) the first 1 is the x value and the second is the y value. g
So, if you were to plug in all these numbers, you would get y=1x+0 for this particular equation. That equation actually simplifies to y=x.
Okay, that was how to write an equation from a line. To draw a line from the equation, you would look at the last number which in my example is 0. This is your starting point. So, you would put your first dot at the point where the y and x axes meet. Then, you would "tap" out the slope. You would go up 1 box on the y axis, and to the right one box. So you would end up at the point (1,1). You would connect these points, and you have a line! Yayy!
How do you calculate the circumference and area of a circle if the radius is 19cm?
Circumference C = 2 r times pi C = 119.38052083641213 centimeters. Area A = r2 times pi. A = 1134.0815 square centimeters.

Do you have any homeschooling materials?
A relatively inexpensive and good curriculum is Heart of Dakota. It is not one of the major curriculums, but it is great. Also there is a support forum for parents which is also wonderful. However, it is a little light on science, you might want to supplement it with another curriculum such as Apologia or Real Science 4 kids. If you have very little ones (kindergarten or preschool), then the science they have there will be just fine. If your kids are on the older end of the spectrum, then you might want to move the math up a grade level. They have a handy little placement chart to help place your kids where they belong.
