Why does the tip of my left ring finger have a sudden sharp pain when i place the finger on my guitar?

I have been playing acoustic guitar for 45 years and the same condition of sharp ring finger pain just started on me about three months ago.

It is such a sharp raw pain, that I reluctantly put my guitar down for a couple of weeks.

I looked at how my ring finger was seated on the string and noticed that it is now making contact just below the callous on the tip of the finger, on the soft flat under part of the finger.

I then attempted to re-position my ring finger, so that it would make contact directly on the tip where the callous forms, but on some chords, I just wasn't able to do it.

After you feel the sharp pain, look on the underside of your ring finger and see if it is making contact below the callous.

There should be a string indentation just below the callous.

I am still working on trying to remedy this issue with myself.

I believe the solution is in making sure your ring finger makes contact on the tip and not below the tip.

After 45 years of playing with no issues, I suddenly have had this problem develop in the past three months.

It is really depressing!

Any way, this is where I am on it, at this point in time.

I did notice that some company online is selling a product called Quik-Callous for about $12.00 bucks a bottle.

I haven't tried it yet, but it sounds tempting, if it really works!

If you are thinking about ordering a bottle and trying it out, before you do order it, check out their website carefully and make sure they offer a money back guarantee, in the event it doesn't work for you.

Also do a Google search on "Quik-Callous complaints".

I always do this whenever I purchase products online that I am unsure of.

If it is a good company with a good product, your search should come up with no complaints and vice-versa.

Good luck.

Does diovan cause leg pain?

Diovan is a medication that is prescribed with a hydrochlorothiazide within the pill which is a diuretic. Diuretics increase secretion by the nephrons in your kidneys causing you to urinate more, hence losing water & electrolytes from your body. The lack of water in your system may cause leg pain among other issues including, but not limited to: joint pain, headaches, thirst, dry mouth, weakness, lethargy, drowsiness, dizziness, confusion, & nausea.

Furthermore, and more vital to homeostasis, the Diovan increases vasodilation causing blood vessels to open up and decrease blood pressure (the main reason for Diovan use). If the elasticity of your blood vessels is not ample enough to support the increase in vessel diameter, it will cause pain and possibly crack or burst the vessel(s).

Im having grointeticular pain and one of your testicle is becoming smoler than the one and your epididymis is becoming hard like a rock and you feel pain in waist and sperm is like its mixed with blo?

Those sound like very very serious signs of testicular cancer. I would suggest you do this immediatly. Go to a walk in clinic or your doctor and tell them those symptoms. They will exam your testicles, give you a blood test, and probably check your glands in your throat. Your glands become inflamed from certain cancers. Then they will send you for a ultrasound. This examines your testicle like they examine a baby in the womb. They can see masses on the testicle by using this machine. From there your either fine, or if you do have testicular cancer they will remove the testicle and you will probably be out of the hospital in 2-4 days. Either way you have no reason to worry...testicular cancer is actually just about the easiest cancer to treat and has a very good success rate. Good luck!

Do i feel Pain after recovery from Peritonsillar abscess?

I just had a peritonsillar abscess drained a week ago.

The pain following the draining was awful, but the next day I felt SO much better than the whole week before (NP thought it was strep, so the antibiotics didn't get rid of my severe throat pain for an entire week!).

I was prescribed Tylenol 3 (Acetaminophen and Codeine) for the pain. I took 2 the minute I received them from the pharmacist! Like I said, I felt much better the next day, but my throat was definitely still scratchy and tender. It is a week later, and I can eat most foods if I chew them VERY thoroughly. I would say the worst of the pain is over with after about 2 days, then it is just uncomfortable for a few more days.

If a small person fell and cut the whole area of their knee and a larger person fell and equally cut the same area of their knee would their pain be greater?

Not necessarily - Pain is completely and totally subjective, meaning each person experiences pain differently. Part of it has to do with the person's experience with pain as they age, any pain drugs/anesthesia they may have been given during and after surgery when they were small children (tonsils, etc), all those and many other factors alter each persons sensitivity, or Tolerance, to pain.

For example, as a chronic pain patient I've experienced extreme pain every day for the past 12 years; 11 of those have required the use of opiates to maintain a fairly normal lifestyle. As such, my pain tolerance is extremely high. So what might be excruciating for you or someone else might feel like hardly anything to me.

In your comparison, the opposite could be true - the smaller person could have more pain than the bigger person, if you consider the smaller person a child and the larger one an adult who has had more pain experience, while the child has had little or no serious pain experience.

What is the stimulus for touch?

Touch is one of the senses, and the senses all interact with each other. For example: While walking through an open air market, you SEE baskets overflowing with wonderful flowers of all imaginable colors, sizes, textures in bouquets tied with satin or velvet ribbons. The baskets sit two long table lengths, in two rows. The SMELL is overwhelmingly delightful as you walk between the rows. Also, although you may not be aware of it, your EMOTIONS are triggered--by sight and smell in this situation.

You cannot help but to reach out to TOUCH the sturdy green stems, to feel how cool they are, and to glide your fingers gently along the petals, as you remember ....

Our emotions and basic human needs also demand that we touch and be touched.

Studies show that the "art of laying hands" on a person can be as healing as --or at least an adjunct--to some of the strongest medicines or best treatments medicine can offer. Hospital patients often recall the nurse who gently touched the patient's hand...or the doctor who patted the patient's shoulder...as professionals who seemed to care the most or had the most healing effect. A human's spiritual side also craves touch and gestures of caring, as good for the soul as listening to an uplifting hymn or seeing a religious picture. We "reach out" and touch others to show affection, caring, etc. Our love lives need touch just as much as romantic love needs the partner to show interest, engage in conversations, and communicate a loving bond. The stimulus for touch is reflex

What can stop the pain with braces?

Great question! I can help!

I am an orthodontist and I get so many questions like this. Smoothies, slurpies, and ice cream are yummy desserts that cool and calm the mouth. Drink/ eat this right when you get your braces to relax them

DO NOT go back to the dentist and ask them to move or shift the part where it hurts. That will mean your teeth won't straighten!

Ice, yes ice, your mouth. Again, it relaxes the gums.

Tylonol and motron help for young kids. It stops the imflamination in the gums.

If it is the bracket or wire that is bothering you, buy or get some wax from your orthodontist. It covers up the pokey, sharp parts. But, put on wax right away. If you wait untill after a while, your mouth will already have the cuts and sores and they take so long to go away and they are so painful.

Then, when you go back to the orthodontist, tell them what is bothering you. Who knows! They may have put it in the wrong place or something.

As far as your actually teeth, ya, they are going to be in a lot of pain! They will be very sensitive and weak and sore. Think about it. Usually kids get their braces when they are eleven. So you had those 10 years without the braces, so you are used to that. Then, all of a sudden, a bunch of medal stuff gets glues onto your teeth! So painful! Just stick to the soft food. Your teeth will strengthen soon. Take your calcium pills too!

But, don't worry! The pain goes away. And after two years or so, you'll have beautiful teeth!

When should you start feeling a lot of joint pain during your pregnancy like hip and pelvic pain?

You shouldn't, it is not normal. However it is quite common. it is caused by the hormone progesterone relaxing the ligaments and muscles so the joints move more than when not pregnant. It is the same hormone which causes the relaxation resulting in heartburn and constipation.

It usually starts in the third trimester 28 weeks or so. My second pregnancy I had twins and it started at 22 weeks but this is unusual

Seperate answer from above, I had hip pain from very early pregnancy through most of mine, I am quiet slight so dunno if that was part of it
