No, because blonde hair or any color hair isn't a race; it's a trait in which many people of different colors can naturally have. However, that doesn't mean they are any less ignorant since it's still grouping people based on a common factor, and usually grouping them all to being dumb.

What are some reasons why racism is si difficult to stop?

You're dealing with a very complex question. When we are born we are iike a blank sheet of paper waiting to be written on. To extend the metaphor, the things we learn from our elders, siblings, and friends, are as the writings on the blank sheet of paper. Slowly, all of these bits of learning are inculcated into our psyche, and for better or worse form part of our personality.

So if you learn at your daddy's knee when you're young and impressionable, that all blacks are dangerous criminals who are slow and lazy; then you'll tend to take as gospel that this segment of society are undesirables. And when you grow up and have children you'll likely pass on these little gems of wisdom to your offspring. etc. etc.

This is bolstered in some people who feel inadequate, and need to step on others in order to make themselves feel superior.

Also, there is the feeling of strangeness at the practices of people from other cultures. The herd feels secure with people like themselves, and becomes unsettled when coming in contact with others who talk, act, dress, and look different than what they are used to. These feelings can be mitigated through education and mixing with people from other cultures. Travel is one of the best forms of education in reducing this type of anxiety. Pretty soon, one begins to see that regardless of some minor differences, people are basically the same with the same wants and needs as oneself.
