AnswerThis has happened to me as well, and it wasn't due to a metal allergy, but a buildup of soap and moisture (possibly leading to some bacterial/fungal infection). Here are some conditions that make it likely to be a soap/bacterial/fungal rash and not a metal allergy:

Being an "expert" on rashes (due to the extreme sensitivity of my skin to chemicals) I'll give you some of my remedies.
First, I try Benedryl or any other allergy medicines straight away to try to knock it out immediately. Try one pill or tablet every six hours or so until the rash looks like it's going away. This may make you sleepy, though, so beware.
If that doesn't work, try poison ivy creams and apply liberally and let dry.
Another way is to draw a warm bath and put some oatmeal in some cheese cloth and tie it into a bag and hang it into the water. It will stop the itching for a good while.

The short answer, not much. I have a worst-case scenario. A heavy sweater myself, the additional crocs ventilation helps some.
