How do you treat an allergic skin rash from teak wood dust?

Not specific to teak wood, but it is my understanding that Benadryl (or one of its generic equivalents, which are much cheaper) will resolve the issues within a few minutes. Hope this helps and you're feeling better soon! (-:

What could be wrong if your 2-year-old has small red raised non-itching rash-pimples scattered on his arms legs hands feet and he finished a fever a week ago after having a virus for 4-5 days?

The rash could be a mild reaction to medication that he's been taking or due to the fever itself. If the rash does not spread, and is not itchy or changing color then it will clear up on it's own. I would not advise using any creams or lotions to treat this unless it does become itchy or worsen. Leave it alone. Also, fevers, colds, and illness in general can deplete certain vitamins and minerals in the body so I would suggest that you pay attention to good nutrition for your child at this time. If the rash becomes itchy or changes then call your pediatrician and have on hand a list of all medications that your child has taken....including anything over the counter. Could be "giannotti crosti" My child had this and it was diagnosed by a dermatologist. It initially develops as a result of a virus.

What could be causing a rash on torso at a specific time every year such as in August in northern Minnesota?

I also live in Northern Minnesota, and my allergies are at their worst in August. This is when grass pollen is at its peak. I'm not sure if this is what you're allergic to, but this gives me really big problems. I guess the only other possibility that stands out in my mind would be some sort of fruit that's only "in season" in August, but that would be a little easier to trace.

I'd recommend going into the allergist's office for an allergy test. Then you can know exactly what you're allergic to, and you can get medicine or shots. There is an office in Duluth, at SMDC (St. Mary's). I'm not sure about other towns.

Fungal infected toenail you go on holiday next week and want to cover it so it doesnt notice what are your options?

Iv'e been told that if you put a little bit of bleach or white vinegar on it , it will go away in about a month, but if you just paint over it that is a quick fix, but as soon as you can you need to take off the polish because it feeds the fungus.

i actually have multiple of those on my right and one on my hip. they are red raised and firm to the touch plus slightly painful. just got done looking around and it may be a boil. look around at some pictures to see if this is what it may be. boils can vary in form. the most common answer was sitz baths and warm compresses. i actually have multiple of those on my right and one on my hip. they are red raised and firm to the touch plus slightly painful. just got done looking around and it may be a boil. look around at some pictures to see if this is what it may be. boils can vary in form. the most common answer was sitz baths and warm compresses.

My little girl fell and had a buckle fracture she got her cast off 3 or 4 weeks ago Now she has a rash on the same wrist she fractured Do you think this has anything to do w the fracture?

very unlikely that the rash is related. more likely it results from the irritaion of having a dirty sweaty stinky cast held to her sensitive skin for three weeks, or even a new surnburn on recently exposed skin. not related to the fracture, i assure you. hope that helps

What are itchy raised red bumps in a cluster caused by?

They could be cause by a few things. It could be a bug bite. If you itched it, then bumps could form even more. It could also be an allergic reaction to something. (Hives, possibly. Even just on a small, isolated area, it can happen.) If it is part of a rash, it might be something like poison ivy or poison oak. It could be some ingrown hairs, depending on the area. You best bet - since it's itchy - would be a bug bite or reaction. Try a soothing, anti-itch cream. If you aren't sure or are concerned, see ac doctor. They could probably help.
