Trust me it's up under the truck. You can't get to it from the top. It's tucked up over front of transmission pan, I mean tucked. You have to angle it out pretty crazy. I also had to remove my front cross member( easy).

The Transmission on the 1998 Acura is a sealed unit and has no external dipstick. If you check the tranny pan under the SLX there is 2 bolts (plugs) you can remove the highest one the fluid should just dribble out with the car running. Top it off and replace the bolt.
