According to the theory of the Creation of Man as described in the last heavenly Book, the holy Qur'an, Hazrat Adam (AS) was created as to be the Caliph of Almighty Allah on the planet Earth. He was sent to paradise where Hazrat Eve (AS) was created as his spouse. Both of them stayed in the paradise for a transitory period. As Satan was their enemy, he lured both of them to eat the fruit of forbidden tree by swearing to them that they would become Angel like and death would never touch them. They were taken in by the wicked trick of Satan and ate the forbidden fruit. This was destined to happen as they were originally created to come to the earth and breed humans. The Qur'an does not lay the blame on the weak shoulders of Hazrat Eve (AS) who was too innocent to see through the nefarious conspiracy of Devil, the Shaitan. Thus the Muslims don't blame our Mother Hazrat Eve (AS), nor do they call it the Fall of Humanity. It was preplanned by Almighty Allah.

What difference does it make whether or not God created?
If GOD had a purpose for creating, then he had a purpose for US.
Whenever we see a complicated piece of machinery, or a beautiful work of art, we know that the designer had a purpose in mind for it. He didn't just put gears and wires , or color and texture together for nothing. He had some REASON for making it.
We can look around us at our world, and see it as an accidental fluke coming from nothing with no purpose (sortof like a fully functioning car spontaneously growing from the dust over many years). If that's all it is, then that's all there is. No future, no hope, no purpose. Just live the best we can and die.
ON the other hand:
If God "CREATED", then he had a purpose for doing so.
We can look around us at our world, and see it as something designed for us.
