What do you do when you think you are pregnant and you dont want your parents to know?

Best thing you can do is sit down and discuss the issue with your parents. They are more understanding about things than teens/young adults give them credit. That's an awfully big secret to keep. And as your body changes because of the growth of the baby, the weight gain to secure the baby its going to become harder and harder to keep. And parents love to know that their children can come to them with anything and everything and keeping it from them just hurts yourself and them more.

What are the Product factors that affect rate of adoption?

relative advantage, compatiability, observability, trialabilty, and complexity

Can married poor couple adopt?

Yes. So long as the couple is able to provide for the child's basic needs (food, shelter, clothing, basic education, etc). Your best bet is to work with a State-funded agency, such as Child Protective Services(CPS). These agencies have funding that will off-set a lot of the cost of adoption. Some fees that may be required...First-Aid and Child and Infant CPR training, Paperwork fees (though most don't require this), and transportation costs. Most towns or counties provide an initial class or meeting that defines and underlines all the state requirements for adoption. Information should be available for all forms of adoption including international adoptions. I recommend you go to your local chamber of commerce to obtain information on, social services, child protective services, or adoption services. This information should be readily available.

How can child adoption help a child?

Answer

If you ever lived in a foster home you'd know right away how it would help to be adopted. If on the other hand you were to adopt a child in a poor country you can't imagine how this would help some kid who has to root though garbage each day just to eat. <i sorta agree with it but it does not answer the question a real answer would be so they can eat undiseased food and have someone who loves them and have an education and have fun like lots of children would LOVE to be able to do! that is why it would help :D

Is it illegal for an outsider to tell an adopted child who is still under aged the whereabouts of his birth parents or tell the birth parents the whereabouts of the adopted child?

That can be extremely harmful for the child. If that was my child I would forbid you to ever see him again. That would be breaking a trust. If you have the need to tell you wait until they are 18 and let their parents know first that you are going to do so because they are the ones that has to deal with the mess. The birth parents are allowed to contact the child when he is an adult. If you tell them and they look the child up you are partly responsible. Think ahead before attempt breaking a family. Being an adoptive child can be hard enough. You are not doing the child or his family a favor. just telling the child means you should be bale to back it up with proof. And you don't have that since the records are sealed. So no I can't find anywhere that it's illegal but if the child take harm from this I wouldn't be surprised of the family get a restraining order and might even sue you. The choice is theirs and should always be theirs. They are the parents.

NEW ANSWER

The above answer is correct although it does not state that it is not illegal to reveal the whereabouts of an adopted child to his natural parents or inform an adopted child that he is adopted and reveal the whereabouts of his parents, regardless of the child's age. However, as the person above has expressed, it would really be very unwise to do this if the child is happy where he/she is at the moment. If the biological parents have decided they want to find the child they have to adhere to the correct procedure for this, which they will be aware of - it is not for you to intervene. Unless the child in question is being abused or is miserable there can be no positive outcome for intervening in this way, and even if this was the case you should inform the police/authorities, not the biological parents.

You contact a adoption agency that deals with international adoptions.

How do you adopt a child in Texas without an agency?

You have to have completed the home study and been approved for adoption. Then if you know a mother willing to give up her child you get a lawyer and she gets one too and they prepare the paperwork. After everyone has signed the lawyers finish it in court where you also have to be to have the adoption finalized.

Is surrogate motherhood a better alternative to adoption?

Can an adopted child gain the right to look for their birth parents when get to a certain age?

Yes, once you're 18 you have the right to look for your birth parents. Your parents aren't under any obligation to help you though.

If your current parents are willing, they may help you earlier than that.

Can an adopted child take on his adopted parents nationality?

Nationality generally means genetic origin.

In this case, the child can take on the national cultures, the name common in the nationality, and otherwise identify with the nationality.

However, taking on the parents' nationality isn't totally possible, since nationality has a DNA component.

However, if the child's DNA in some ways parallels the DNA of one or both of the parents, then the nationality in the genetic sense already matches.

In America in the recent past -- as late as the 1950s -- children were commonly 'paired' physically with adoptive parents so that if the parents wanted to keep the adoption a secret from the child, it would be possible. Today, however, this practice is not so common.

This depends a lot on where you live.

Is your union recognized by the state?

  • If so, you probably handle it like any other step-parent adoption.
  • If not, there's a good chance that you won't be able to.

You'll probably need a termination of the other birth parent's parental rights (TPR = termination of parental rights). This can be voluntary (birth parent signs a voluntary surrender) or involuntary (which can be hard to get, generally requires that the other birth parent has abandoned the children, or is a danger in some way)

Reasons for being gay?

If the mother of the child had many children, there is a greater chance of a child being gay with each child. This is because the female body produces antibodies agains the male fetus, the woman's body treats the baby like a foreign object and tries to feminize it.

Also, genes. Sometimes, people are born gay. No one knows why. It isn't bad, so there is nothing to be ashamed of. LGBTQ pride.

Parents looking for children to adopt?

Any parent looking to adopt should check with their city/state about kids up for adoption.

Contact a local adoption agency to find out who is up for adoption. Make sure you know if you want to have an open or closed adoption (open is the birth parents can contact the child closed is they can not) and be prepared for adoption to be set up and then fall though (the birth mother/father stop the adoption process).

How do you adopt?

I believe each state and each country has its own laws regarding adoption. If you want to adopt in the US check with your county social services agency and they will point you in the right direction. Out of country adoptions are handled by agencys so you may want to check your local phone directory under adoption agency. There are also attorneys that handle private adoptions, those can also be found in the phone book.

How many married couples use surrogate mothers to have babies in the USA each year?

It is so hard to get an accurate number because so many arrangements are kept private and are not reported to OBs and/or hospitals. Last year there were several thousand surrogate deliveries in the US, I would guess that there are also several thousand that go unreported.

What type of adoption is it when biological parents have considerable input into the adoption process?

This is called an open adoption. It allows the biological parents to select the adoptive parents and to be involved in their child's life after the adoption. The level of openness is agreed on before the adoption is completed. Sometimes it is letters, pictures, phone calls, and even visits.
