Adventure Quest

Red Dragon Island is the 19th island in Poptropica, and is based on the Magic Tree House book series by Mary Pope Osborne. The island had a sneak peek (sumo wrestling) beginning in April, 2011, with the opening of the island on June 2, 2011. (Early access for paid monthly members was on May 5, 2011.)

The following walkthrough contains all spoilers.

Arriving on the Island : Frog Creek, PA

1) Main Street includes two buildings and three houses, none of which are used in the solution. Go the far right, past both houses, and enter the back yard.

2) After Jack and Annie run by, go right and take the tire from the tire swing.

3) Roll the tire left, cross Main Street, and through the forest to the treehouse.

4) Pick up Jack's glasses and bounce on the tire to reach the treehouse.

5) Return Jack's glasses to him, and get their explanation of the magical treehouse.

6) Collect the book "A Journey to Old Japan" from the far right side. Use its card, saying "I wish I was there." The treehouse is magically transported to Edo in feudal Japan.

In Old Edo, Japan (Shogun period)

7) You receive the Magic Amulet from Jack and Annie, who run off. Follow them left, but you will be intercepted by the Shogun's guards because you have no passport. Use the amulet to escape the prison and return to the treehouse.

8) Moving left again, stop at the Bonsai shop (now open), to get a kimono to wear, along with a passport to use. Continue left and pass the Shogun's soldiers to the next scene. Jack and Annie have no passports, and are taken away by the Shogun and guards.

9) Continue left across the bridge, and to East Edo.

10) Stop to pick up the rotten fish on the steps to Fortress, just past the Fish shop.

11) Climb to the locked fortress and get the parchment from Jack and Annie.

12) Continue left into West Edo. and farther west to the secluded lake.

13) Pick up the sack of mortar at the lake edge. Talk to the old poet at his hut.

14. Return right to West Edo, then to East Edo. Place the men in their proper order inside the paper dragon seen earlier. The guilty man confesses, and a soldier gives you his betting slip on the Sumo match, offering to split the proceeds. Continue right to the bridge.

15) Use the mortar, and assemble the jigsaw puzzles to fix the bridge.

16) After the Sumo crosses, pick up the dropped Bonsai scissors.

17) Under the bridge, use the rotten fish to lure the tricky kappa fish, and catch him in the net. Use the fire to light the lantern, the bees and rock to block other holes, and the frog to force the kappa up through the center hole.

18) Go right to the Bonsai hut and use the bonsai scissors to carefully trim one of the bonsai trees into the exact shape shown in the drawing.

19) Go left to the Sumo arena in West Edo.

20) Draw the Kanji shapes for Yokozuna's fans.

21) Talk to the sumo challenger, then fight Yokozuna yourself and win.

Avoid the stomps and getting pushed by the champion, then when he turns red-faced, jump over him again as he falls from the ring. Basho will save you from the upset soldiers who lost their bets. When he leaves, follow him to his hut at the lake.

Ninja Training

22) Put on the Ninja outfit and complete the weapons practice. The claws are always on, but the eye, stars, smoke bombs, and bo staff have to be selected one at a time from the icon at lower left. The ninja eye lets you look around a large scene. To use the stars and smoke, press the spacebar after pointing the cursor. Spin the bo staff to block projectiles, or run and click to vault into the air.

23) When your training is done, repair the wall for Basho and head for the Fortress.

Cliff and Fortress

24) Climb using the claws (jump and click back higher up on the walls). You can use the piston logs as steps near the top.

25) As you go through the three fortress chambers, toss the smoke bombs at the guards, and the stars at any lamps. Climb walls with the claws, and use the grapple where you see a gold ring, to swing across an opening. Where darts come out of the walls, spin the bo staff and then run past when they stop. You have to collect the key in each chamber to exit, and each of three torn sections of the Haiku password.

*Throw stars at the ropes to cut down any of the green blocks or the hanging structures.

26) Meeting the Shogun, throw a star to cut their cage down. Go with them after the Red dragon begins to set fire to the city.

27) The wand transports the three of you to Mount Fuji, home of the Cloud Dragon. Climb to the top and jump onto the dragon.

Dragon Battle

30) In the final battle, you have to fly the Cloud Dragon behind the Red Dragon that is setting fire to the city. The Cloud Dragon spews water to put out the fires on the buildings, and this water spray can hit and weaken the Red Dragon. Fly closely behind the Red Dragon, hitting it when you can (in the head) and also putting out the building fires. You must turn the Red Dragon entirely red before the last buildings are burned up entirely.

31) If you fail, you have the option to use the Easy Mode: your water supply is always full, and the Red Dragon spends most of its time where you can see it.

32) Defeat the Red Dragon to win the island. Use the amulet to return to the treehouse.

33) The second book "Frog Creek, Pennsylvania - Hometown USA" will take you back to Main Street, from which you can exit the island.

34) Jack and Annie give you the Island Medallion.

* Leaving the Island Unfinished

To leave the island, you have to return to Main Street from Japan. If you have the Haunted House card from the Poptropica store, you can exit at anytime to the island map. If you re-enter Red Dragon Island via Main Street, the treehouse apparently returns to the forest, even though you left it in Japan.
it's easy you just have to find the proper things to use or go online to youtube and type poptropica cheats. :)

Dragon Slayer

Items needed: 3 planks, hammer, 90 steel nails,lobster pot, unfired bowl, piece of silk, good high hitting weapon, wizard's mind bomb, good food for final battle,good armor, 2000 gp

Skills needed: 32 quest points, be able to defeat level 2, 3, 19,24, 25, 43, 82, and 83 dragon.

Suggested:10000 extra gp or bow and arrows or runes

1. Go to Champion's guild south of Varrock.

2.Go inside.

3. Talk to the Guildmaster and ask about rune platebody.

4.He will say he has a friend named Oziach who can help you. He is in Edgeville.

5. Go and talk to Oziach in Edgeville. He is in a small house near the Wilderness border.

6.He will say you are in the guild but are not worthy to be called a 'Hero'.

7. He will tell you to go kill Elvarg on the isle of Crandor to be worthy to be called a Hero.

8. He says you need three map pieces to get there.

9.Go back to the Champion's Guild and talk to the Guildmaster.

10. Speak with the Guildmaster and he will give you the key to Melzar's Maze.

11. Ask all the questions possible to the Guildmaster or you won't be able to progress in the quest.

12. Go to Melzar's Maze. It is south-west of Falador. Be sure to bring the maze key and maybe some food if you are lower level.

13. Get inside and kill zombie rats until you get a red key.

14. Go through the door in the north west corner. Or else.

15. Go up the ladder.

16. You should now be in a room with ghosts. Kill them until you get an orange key.

17. Go through the door that's 2nd from the left. Or else.

18. Go up the ladder.

19. Go kill the skeletons until you get a yellow key.

20. Go through the south-western most door.

21. Follow the corridor to the end.

22. Go down the ladder.

23. Kills ome zombies until you get a blue key.

24. Go through the northern most door.

25. You will see Melzar the Mad. Kill him even though he says some amusing things.

26. Go through the door leading to the Lesser Demon.

27. Kill the Lesser Demon.

28. Collect the green key.

29. Go through the door.

30. Search the chest and collect you first map piece!

31. Go to the Port Sarim jail. Talk to Wormbrain.

32. Either kill him using ranged or magic. But to collect the piece, you need to use the spell Telekinetic Grab. If you're level 31 magic you can do the spell if you drink an extra Wizard's Mind Bomb from Falador pub. If you're too lazy just but the map piece from him for 10000 gp.

33. From your bank, get the unfired bowl, piece of silk, Wizard's Mind Bomb, and lobster pot.

34. Now, go and speak with the Oracle on Ice Mountain.(North of Falador).

35. After that, go into the Dwarven Mine(south of the Mountain) and use each item on the magic door in the north east area.

36. Enter the room.

37. Search the chest.

38. Voila! Your third map piece!

39. Now go to your bank and take out the hammer, planks, steel nails, and 2000 gp.

40. Go to the end of the Port Sarim docks and talk to Klarense.

41. Talk to him about buying the boat and he wiill sell it to you for 2000 gp. Yay! Setback: It has a big hole in it. Fix the boat and you're done.

42. Use the three map pieces with each other to get a full map.

43. Go to Draynor Village and talk to Ned.

44. Ask him if he can take you to Crandor and he will say 'yes'.

45. He will meet you at the boat. But first go to Lumbridge and talk to the Duke.

46.Talk to the Duke about killing Elvarg and he will give you an anti-dragon shield(ESSENTIAL FOR THE FIGHT)

47.Go to Port Sarim docks and talk to Ned. Be sure to take a one handed weapon and the shield(maybe some food).

48. He will board the ship and so will you. After a cutscene, you will end up on the island and your boat will be wrecked on the rocks, so plan on using your Home Teleport to Lumbridge.

49.Go through all the monsters to the top of the island and into the dungeon. You will be at the north end of the dungeon.

50. Go south and right into the lair. (Uh-Oh).

51. Kill! Use your food and don't mage or range and you should be fine.( He will hit less than 15 on you if you're wearing the dragon shield and you have 40ish defence.

52.After the cutscene, you will have Elvarg's head in your inventory. Now run or teleport away!!!

53. Head back to Edgeville and talk to Oziach for your reward.

Reward: Ability to wear rune platebody and green dragonhide body armor. 18650 Strength XP and 18650 Defence XP.

You're done the quest!
