I think you have to be as old as the legal drinking age to serve alcohol to people. [improved] Actually it depends on the state, in most states you must be 18 to serve alcohol. I'm 19 and I'm in school for bartending.

Too broad of a question. An 18 year old who has spent 6 months drinking alcohol non-stop will most likely take a lot less time to get their liver to recover from alcohol than a 50 year old who has been drinking everyday since the age of 18, for example. Either way, it is best to stop drinking ASAP if your liver has been affected and in some cases it is recommended to seek medical advice.

im not 100% on this but ive heard that in midieval days people believed that when a man was drunk and disorderly or mean that evil spirits had entered him thru the drink so it could have to do with that. Alcohol brings out the spirit(The inner beliefs and morality that guide that particular individual) that is most prominent in us while reducing our inhibition(wall) that is a defensive mechanism clouding our true self.

The body does not flush out alcohol. It is metabolized by the liver at the rate of about 0.6 ounces of pure alcohol per hour. No amount of water, coffee, exercise or other effort will make it happen faster.

Sour drinks might include: lemon drops, whiskey sours, amaretto sour, etc. I used to bartend and a few times have made an amaretto sour that got several experienced drinkers to say "Best drink ever tasted. Ever." (but, I cannot reliably replicate and usually make merely "nice" versions). We're talking 'bout making sour mix from scratch, using raw (pasteurized) eggs to foam the drinks... old school... and getting the perfect balance of sweet/sour. Otherwise, I'd look elsewhere.

A well-made espresso or fig martini, mojito, and other cocktails can be high craftmanship drinks that deliver. But, if I was suggesting ONE easy but tasty drink, I'd bet on a shot that had bailey's as a main ingredient. I don't know: how bout an f16:

1 part kahlua, 1 part frangelico, 1 part bailey's Irish cream. layer in order listed (by pouring slowly over the back of spoon so that shot has layers of color, with bailey's floating perfectly on top).

The harms to the mother while drinking alcohol while pregnant are not very significant, unless she drinks excessively. The harm to the child however are severe. Even a single beer during pregnancy greatly increases the chances of Fetal Alcohol Syndrome (FAS), which causes huge amounts of developmental problems in the foetus, and will affect the child for the rest of his or her life. In some countries, drinking while pregnant CAN endanger the mother, as it is seen as being socially and legally unacceptable.

In moderation it can be OK. Some beers (Irish type stout) and spirits are thought to be theraputic. However, alcohol is a depressant and in excess can cause errors in judgement, loss of sensibility, liver and other organ damage, dehydration and chronic addiction. Actually, it does make you lose body heat. The blood vessels close to your skin dilates,(widens) allowing more blood going to your skin, thus losing body heat. You feel hotter because the nerves close to your skin, (The ones that feels the heat) still felt heat, so it assumes that you're actually hot while you are losing your heat.

You can get away from your problems for a little bit. For a lot of people you think less about your problems and more about drinking and having fun. Your loose and things tend to flow easily. You say or do things you normally wouldn't. Your overall carefree for a while untill the effects ware off.

If you're asking the usage for medicinal purposes, [i.e. cuts and scratches], alcohol is the all-purpose ointment, mostly for superficial scratches, rashes or stings in my use. Iodine, I use for more deeper cuts, lacerations or punctures, whether I go to the doctor or not. Better to add something nowadays with all the diseases floating around.
