If you're referring to "AllergyBlock", by Cholaseptic, my guess is it's actually a topical decongestant / antihistamine. So, it's like Sudafed in a cream. It gets absorbed through your skin and treats your allergies that way. I think this business of it supposedly "blocking" allergens from entering your nose is hogwash.

Allergic patients who receive small controlled injections of specific allergens are undergoing a process to make their bodies less reactive to the allergens they are being injected with. This is a form of therapy.

It depends on the side effects you are referring to. If you burp up the flavor, then try taking your fish oil during a meal. If you get an upset stomach, I would suggest taking a vitamin E supplement to prevent the fish oil from becoming rancid in your stomach, which can happen.

If you mean swell up as in zits or pimples, that's acne. If you mean larger swelling, it's likely an infection of some sort. Check to see if the skin where it is swollen feels hot. If it does, see your doctor for some antibiotics. If the swelling is around your jaws, it's probably an infected tooth and you need to see the dentist quickly.

I struggles with chronic sinusitis for years before I was finally able to conquer it (I am allergic to penicillin so antibiotics did not help too much either). I know it sounds strange, but if you think about it this makes a lot of sense. First, whatever you do never clean your ears with a Q tip, by removing the way you throw off the natural balance and flow that is required to keep your sinuses infection free. Well you clean your mouth first with mouthwash ex. Listerine. Then you can kiss because a shellfish allergy is very sensitive. ---- If you want to kiss someone with a shellfish allergy, then you DON'T eat shellfish. I'd say a week.

There are various treatments for seasonal allergies. Often people have to try a few different methods before they find the best one for their symptoms. Some of the treatments are oral medications, nasal sprays, and injections.

Although a true allergy is not that common, there are people who have a terrible reaction to the sutures. I had surgery on my cervical spine last year . Surgery went great, no complications, no real pain... three weeks into my recovery, woke up with a really red suture site, with a small abcess...culture positive for MRSA. Antibiotics, more blood work,and pain. Three months later, finally stopped the antibiotics; not helping. Woke up with an abcess the size of my index finger and unable to touch my neck. Drove 2 hours in snowstorm to see surgeon in ER. CTscan,bloodwork, cultures still no reason. Turns out that it wasn't a true abcess, they're calling it a granuloma, and I am highly allergic to vicryl sutures. Another two months and finally starting to feel a bit better. Only problem: they need to do a 2nd fusion and plating in a few months... they just can't figure out how to close up the incision afterwards. My point is, no doctor, nurse, PA, FNP knows your body like you do, if something is wrong, keep looking for the answer. There is nothing wrong with a 3rd, 4th, or 10th opinion.
