Does cyclosporin affect allergy shots?
Okay, I asked this question, and according to my doctors there has been no medical literature about this topic. To be on the safe side, my allergist decided to discontinue the allergy shots.
However, should you need to actually know, I recommend to ask an expert doctor who is handling your case.
Cyclosporin is a medication that suppresses a part of the immune system involving immune cells and not antibodies. It may affect the way your immune system responds to the allergy immunotherapy. If your allergies are causing you symptoms then it proves that your allergic antibody production is normal. There is no problem with side effects when using both treatments together and sometimes it helps. It is true that there aren't any clinical studies on this but I have seen patients on low dose Cyclosporin do well on allergy immunotherapy.

What should someone do if they are getting a large rash from an allergy to an antibiotic medicine?
It generally depends on the antibiotic. Certain rashes can quickly become very serious conditions and should not be taken lightly.
If you notice that after taking the medicine you have a rash, immediately call your doctor and alert them to your situation. Pharmacists are the drug experts so I also suggest calling your pharmacy and describe your symptoms - they will be able to determine if it is a true drug allergy. If it is, they can then document it in your medical chart (medical profile) so that in the future, the doctors wont be able to give you the same medicine.
Pharmacists are really there for the best interest of the patient and for drug safety, so I highly recommend talking to them while alerting your doctor to your allergy as well.

I don't know, this is purely anecdotal, but it seems that since about 2009, when I eat any bread that I buy that has the ingredient "datem" the roof of my mouth swells slightly and feels irritated. Makes me wonder if there might be a connection, and if there is, if there is more to it than just irritation of the roof of my mouth...why do they even use this ingredient, is is to make a bread that is weak and insubstantial seem more full-bodied and chewy? Seems like the more expensive breads with no special claims as to "smooth" or "full" texture don't have it...they taste fine without it...is its main commercial use to cover up deficiencies in texture? I trust that the big bakers are using it because customers like the bread, but I wonder if it is really wise to use it. I did a little research on it, and it appears that it is usually derived from soy, which in the US means a genetically modified soy...why do we need this when we can grow more than enough soy to feed ourselves without using GM soy?

Rice allergy may not be common in the western world but reported in Japan where rice is the major staple grain. I am myself born of a mixed race, have rice allergy. It was only after drinking the rice wine called 'saki', i had a terrible asthma attack and it was difficult for me to breath that i came to know about some problem from rice.
I am symptom free for long time. My guess is that many wheat flour cookies are mixed with rice flour to save cost, so i make my own bread or buy only those that don't give me any problem.

What kind of jewelry is considered mourning jewelry?
Anything minimalist and not overly extravagant. Black stones are especially appropriate. If the decease was very close to you, wearing a piece of jewelry that belonged to them might be a good way to perpetuate their memory.
Historically, some mourning jewelry was made using hair from the deceased. This was common practice in the Victorian era when locks of hair would be enclosed in lockets or ring compartments. Or, strands of hair would be woven into the jewelry piece itself. It was also common to engrave the jewelry with the name of the loved one and the date of their death.
